Once again. We don’t have a reliever ready when needed. Getting bum rushed in the 4th.

Game obviously not finished. But, with one ****** inning the Cards look like an overmatched team. A bad inning at the plate with 3 up and 3 down.

Anyone know...is Poland hurt?
Bass loaded, one out, #4 hitter up...DP and no runs. Reminiscent of earlier in the season.

I don’t think he’s hurt. I think they feel he fits better in a closer or late inning guy.

Too many walks. Too many walks. The ONLY reason IU is within reach is because of walks. And...errors.

Errors are killing them. Routine plays. That’s what McDonnell was saying about winning baseball. Throw strikes, make clean plays and hit in key situations.

Another bad base running decision. Man, I hope they break out of this funk or else FSU will boot us right out of a top 8 seed.

At least Fitzpatrick gets to lead off next inning but yeah bad base running. It’s like another error.

Terrible throw by Zeke and he is bailed out by a bad IU running mistake.

We won in the 12th 8-7. Struck out 23 IU batters. IU is a ranked team so they are not pushovers.

Coach said on the post game show that Poland, Kirian and Bennett were not available to pitch. No other details given other the Kirian should be available in a couple weeks.

Kirian is the surprise to me. I knew about Poland nursing something, hopefully Bennett comes back this weekend, but didn't know about Kirian. I'm not surprised, however, that these pitchers run into issues thru the season.
Let's get back home, get healthy and get focused on the stretch run.
And yes, glad to escape with the W.

Focus is a key word. Lot of mental lapses that can’t happen against top notch competition. We obviously need Binelas for his bat but he made some bad plays that were routine.

Really surprised they kept Perkins in as long as they did. He was throwing a really good game, but you can tell he didn't want to be out there in the fourth. The team apparently thought the same with their looks to the dugout. I suppose it was a teachable moment, to pitch through adversity, but he hasn't gone over three innings all season. Turned out to be a big break for IU.

Much needed win, a quality road victory. Listening to the announcers, you'd think UofL is a lock for the CWS. We shall see. Need to take care of FSU.

Oh, I was listening to Deener this morning. Screw that dude. Perrin brought up the team winning at IU, and that Luke Smith is now 5-0, then Drew went on about "happy for them, but what's there to talk about? You wouldn't know Luke Smith if he walked into the studio." Louisville baseball is as marquee of a program that we've got going right now. It deserves better from 93.9 THE VILLE. Games are broadcast on that channel for crying out loud, and that douche can't talk about them?

I grew up worshiping the basketball program in the 70's,got my degree in the heyday back when Griff and the McCrays were roaming the halls at UofL,but I have gravitated towards the baseball program for the past 10 seasons because of the lack of egos and the respect I have for CM and the way his guys approach the game and life. I still root like hell for all the teams at UofL, but I have a special place for these baseball teams, mostly because they are getting passed over a bit(I know I know). Non-revenue sport. Who cares?

I guess baseball just doesn't sell enough ads for Deener.Too bad.
