We were 6-0 a couple years ago playing Pork State every week and the UK fan base went nuts.
Once again, you're saying IU WINNING a true road game at unranked Xavier and UK LOSING a neutral court game vs unranked MSU are the same thing. Both unimpressive.

My God.

I mean....c'mon.

As for IU's win at Xavier being unimpressive as their best win so far this season, what is UK's most impressive win so far this season?

Bueller? I mean....WTF.

Top 3 in the Big East? LOLOL.....this is hilarious! Besides Villanova, who is worth a damn in the big east? Seten Hall? This isn't 1985. Dear God, lol

Ummm.... Creighton who played the likely number 1 team in the country next week, Arizona, to the wire.

You don't know much about or follow cbb very closely do you?

Your schedule is unimpressive. Beating Jack State Tech by 50 means what? Nearly losing to mighty Xavier means what? Indiana has become so irrelevant i didnt even know they were ranked till you come over here wanting to discuss stuff.

Actually, I dont even know if i was alive the last time IU won a title. Everytime i think of Indiana, i think of their biggest win in the last 20 years being a home game to a young UK team that actually put up 100 on them and ended the season on a neutral floor. But congrats, i suppose that home game is still your biggest accomplishment since the internet.

7 straight cupcakes (nearly lost to Xavier who missed a layup at the buzzer) so they have a gaudy 7-0 record. But trouble looms ahead as they play #1 unc, #14 Arizona and #3 Kansas in the next month.
They get UNC in Bloomington. Hoosiers will win.

Seth Greenberg just said on ESPN that IU could be “ A National Title Team” this year.
If we choke out early and IU wins a title I don’t care who’s coming in next year, that’s should be Cal’s death knell.

I dunno. The cheats just lost, doubt they’ll drop 2 straight.
IU looks to have a group to beat some teams this year and Bloomington is a tough place to play. I’ve been waiting for UNC to drop one, they’ve been teetering on the edge for a while now. Gonna be tough for the Tar Heels.

Blah Blah B;ah.... the ole "theres crazies in opponents fan bases"

Yours is the only one in my lifetime that has spit on opposing players PARENTS. By far the chittiest thing ive ever heard, and it all stems from jealousy. Jealous that the team they pull for sucks and the rival is crushing it. Indiana fans come to Rupp and theres isn't a chance in hell anyone would do a thing. Night and day comparing fan bases.
I hope Cal never schedules these cry babies.
So you have to beeen to what then, like 40,000 something, college basketball games?

QUit acting as if IU is the ONLY fan base that has idiots-----Its simply not true. As an official, I have seen many, MANY bad fans----Wichita State for one. Awful. Most obnoxious place I've ever worked. Cincy fans are bad, nasty as ****.

I've been to hundreds upon hundreds of CBB games....I've met GREAT people @ Purdue, and also some fuking *** clowns. Same @ UK......

IU fan coming to Rupp, and not a chance anyone does/says, anything? Not true at all. I've been cursed at Rupp....But I have also been treated very kindly.

Also keep in mind, of the 17,000+ in AH, over 5,000+ are students; IU does have the largest student section n CBB, and at times, its upawrds to 7,000. So odds are, IF you come to AH as an opponent, rival, for a big game, you're probably sitting in a section that isn't the best, and more than likely with students nearby....

Good luck this year...

yeah and indiana hasn’t played anyone with a pulse
Xavier is a solid team, and a very good road win. Took Duke to the wire today. Picked to finish 3rd in the BE behind a very good Creighton team, and a solid UConn squad.

Will certainly fin out more the next couple of weeks:

Vs UNC
Vs Arizona in Las Vegas
@ Kansas...

IU will certainly lose some big pieces, Race/TJD(does have another year left)/Kopp and XJ. But freshman class is good/strong with JHS, Reneau, Gunn and Banks. Will also return Bates/Galloway/Geronimo/Duncomb...Add to it Top 50 player Jakai Newton and a kid on the rise in 4* Gabe Cupps(#120). Of course there is always the portal.

I like how Woodson has recruited, and developing guys. Should have made this hire 10 years ago.

Arizona in Vegas. That’s going to be tough…and then play @ Kansas. Have to think at Kansas is a loss.
Of the three, UNC, Zona and KU, Arizona worries me the most. I mean I don't expect a win @ AFH, but KU isn't as good as Arizona. IMO, best team I have seen this year(AZ).

As i said, Indiana fans come to Rupp theyre safe. UK fans come to has-beenville, theres a 100% chance they'll be treated like chit and either spit on, threatened, or thrown drinks on. Its best they dont play......I'd rather play a relevant program and not give your fans the satisfactory.
So,I mean, what were the issues for UK fans in 2009, when John Wall and Cousins came in and won, 90-73? I don't recall any horror stories from that day?

Or in 2007 when IU won, 70-51. I was at that game----Worst thing I heard was "Jordan's better"---in reference to Jordan Crawford scoring 20, while older brother Joe only had 10...

Funny thing is,I have never heard complaints to this level about a game at IU, until that 2011 game. But hey, of the 100 UK fans there, I am guessing you were one of them?

NOTE: Not saying UK fans weren't heckled, even cursed, etc, etc.....But this isn't some kind of earth shattering news----IT HAPPENS EVERYWHERE.....

Man you really need to watch more basketball my dude....

Creighton is 6-1, ranked in the Top 10., with a win over #9 Arkansas. Only loss is to #14 Arizona, 81-79.......UConn is #20, and currently beating #18 Alabama.....Xavier is just outside the Top 25(28th).

FTR, Nova is currently 2-4......And in 1985 , Seton Hall was 10-18, 1-15 in the BE....

You just rattle **** off, hoping like **** its true....

Yeah but losing Johnson, Kopp, TJD is done , Thompson has played six years right? Reneau and Hood-Schifano will probably leave and go pro at his rate. Banks will be okay but neither him or or Cupps will be ready to step in like Reneau and JHS. They will be down for sure.

It was more for the people getting harassed in the stands and then the crowd rushing the court. We certainly didn’t want some drunk students to hurt AD or anyone else. Miller about got knocked over right away. The reason the first couple years weren’t bad was because IU knew they would get dominated but that year over that team you all went nuts.

Gosh, that was a brainlessly long-winded way of saying; "UK has ZERO quality wins so far this year. Not one that comes close to IU winning at Xavier".

Really, that's all you needed to write, if you were being honest.

....and how about Purdue literally DESTROYING Gonzaga out West? Unranked Purdue. Didn't UK play Gonzaga? Hmmm........

Psssst....from the Big East that you said sucks? UConn (who is probably a top 5 team in the Big East) DESTROYED Oregon by 30 a week ago and yesterday the Ducks lost by 4 to Michigan State.

You remember them, right? UK helped put Sparty firmly in the top 25.

Former 5 star wing Tamar Bates, who is REALLY starting to look like the star IU hoped he'd become when Woody landed him, will be a Jr next season.

....and unless TJD is a definite first rounder, why would he leave with all the NIL cash he's earning in Bloomington? I don't think it's a guarantee for a guy that likely won't be a star at the NBA level to bolt college basketball, where he's probably a top 3 player.

Why would he?

Oh and let me add, if you think it's a given that both Malik Reneau and Jalen Hood-Schifino leave college basketball after this season, I'm 100% certain you haven't seen them play this year.

Hood-Schifino is going to be a great player, but he can't shoot consistently outside of 10 feet. Hell, he's struggling to score inside 10 feet right now. There is almost ZERO chance he leaves after this year.

Reneau is a possibility but he isn't the most athletic guy and hasn't developed any sort of outside game. He's a bit more advanced than TJD was at the same age (incredibly savvy around the rim) but Malik, like Trayce, cannot shoot the ball and cannot use his right hand.

I honestly expect both will be back next year.

Hood-Schifino isn't going anywhere for sure.

Not thumping my chest, only dealing in facts (but okay. I was waaaaay off on Purdue. They were ranked 24th. Waaaaay off).

Who has UK beaten this year?

It's an easy question.

What UK win is more impressive than IU's win at Xavier?

I have watched IU play plenty and yes I can absolutely see both go. jJS has a great mid range game and the ability to run a team. Going pro is about future prospects and as you just said Renau is more advanced that TJD was as a Freshman. He wouldn’t still be in college if he would shoot outside 7 feet and Reneau already takes more outside shots than he does.

Reneau is already averaging 10/4.5reb/1.8 blocks a game in 17 minutes. If he improves at the FT line and develops any kind on outside game he’s gone. If Woodson is smart and gives him the time he deserves it’s a no brainer first round pick. JHS may be less inclined to go but he still has the skills to be valued.

As far as TJD goes, why would he stay around, he’s playing as great as ever and one more year won’t change that. I see him putting in his 4 years. He’s high on the school’s all time list, he may as well start whatever pro career he can now. He’s already old for a prospect. Maybe he will as I am surprised he lasted this long but I think he came back for a great year and to leave.

I don't disagree that TJD might leave and I'd even say it's likely he's gone, but far from 100% definite.

TJD isn't going to be an NBA star. He's going to be a role player, if he lasts on an NBA roster at all. Dude still cannot shoot outside of 5 feet and barely uses his right hand.

At the collegiate level, he's a dominating force who is supposedly making a **** ton of NIL money. His parents are loaded so he most definitely doesn't have to leave. He doesn't need the money.

So again, overall I agree with you. I'd put it at 75% he leaves but let's see how IU does this year before shoving the guy out the door when he can still return if he wants to.

I liken his situation to Drew Timme's who I believe might be 36 years old. Timme isn't going to be an NBA star so he's staying at Gonzaga forever if possible where he's the BMOC. TJD might be thinking the same way.

Let's see how Reneau matches up against UNC, Arizona and Kansas. He came up big in a huge win on the road for IU at Xavier, but as you pointed out, the guy missed 2 straight front ends that could have cost IU the game. He has to be much better at the line and needs to develop a consistent jumper to be really effective. I doubt he's a first rounder presently because his athleticism isn't exactly high level either.

Hood-Schifino can't shoot. I mean he literally cannot shoot even midrange shots consistently now. The G League is littered with JHS level guys and until he improves drastically as a shooter, he isn't going anywhere.

Will be in the minority on this, but I welcome IU not sucking anymore. I think CBB is better when they are a legit team. Similar to when Michigan was sucking in football a short while back. Some teams are just part of the fabric of a sport. Plus if IU can stop sucking, maybe we can play them again. Every year.

My thought about this year's IU squad... big freaking whoop. They've won a few, cool. Might have a decent season, cool. One decent season (with a good roster and AA) doesn't mean you're back. Will take more than one decent year (or good start) to 'be back'. ...But, it's IU, so they're probably already planning banners, tshirts, and cereal boxes.

Kentucky is probably a second round team too. I wouldn’t expect either team to do anything spectacular.
