It's time for the SEC to put some dates beside these..

With no spring ball and a new coaching staff, I would have liked to get at least a Vandy, KY, or Arkansas first to work out the kinks.

I figure we’re gonna be way out of sync

The first game no matter who we play. Let’s don’t let that cost us a game we should’ve won.

Heard an unsubstantiated rumor a couple of days ago the date for the Egg Bowl will be Sept. 26. It would be strange, but if that's the most important game on the schedule, the best chance of playing it would be right off the bat. Decent chance one or more teams will never finish out their schedule.

Edit: I know Rosebowl squashed that rumor a few weeks ago, but things may have changed between then and now. I guess we'll find out at 5:00 this afternoon or sometime next week.

This is not the order. They are going to ensure at least every team has a home game in the first two weeks. No way we play three away games right off the bat.

They know the chances of completing this season are not all that great. Our first game will be at home.

My guess is that they are going to try their best for teams in close proximity to play early in the season. The ideal scenario for maximizing the number of games is to play the teams in order of nearest to farthest proximity so that you can avoid hotels and airports for as long as possible. Then if you get an outbreak, its not as many games affected. For us, that would be Alabama, OM, Auburn, LSU, Vandy, UGA, Kentucky, Mizzou, Ark, A&M (I think). Obviously no way to do that perfectly for every team, but that may be the general idea.

I was sent an Ole Miss schedule the other day that showed us playing the egg bowl first game of the season. Not sure if that was inside info, somebody mistaking the Ole Miss equivalent of what's above for the schedule, or just people talking out of their ***.

Not just Rosebowl, John Cohen said the same thing on OOB that there were no plans to move the Egg Bowl from the last game of the year.

I would prefer to play them early as opposed to late when they may have lost a game and be pissed off.
