To move on from Milan, this guy had weeks too make his decision before pulling out of the draft, Im tired of Kentucky bowing down to these guys, why get desperate and pay this guy all this money for 1 year, when he was third option on his team and can't play defense. Give him a timeframe , and if he is not committed, move on....we are Kentucky and this is getting ridiculous

We need him, so I'm willing to wait... but I definitely understand the frustration. We are practically begging these guys to take millions just to play here.

I understand Pope desperately needs him, as well as the fanbase needs something good to finally happen, but I hope this is not the norm, but with Pope at the helm, it may just well be....

No one cares about UK being UK n the NIL era.

We have a coach no one respects or fears and haven't made a final four n soon to be 12 years.
UK would be UK with the right coach problem is we don't have the right coach even in the NIL era. Pope hasn't never recruited big time nowhere he's ever been. I mean look what BYU went out and did after he left. They got AJ last year he was a top 10 recruit. I haven't paid too much attention to BYU this year, but they ended up getting Wright to come back after he played Pope.

You’re wrong. We are NOT Kentucky with Mark Pope at the helm. Don’t blame the players for being hesitant to play for the guy.

These big time players are literally doing everything possible to avoid having to play for UK. I’m seriously stating to believe that Yaxel did indeed take a major pay cut to play for Michigan last year.

What exactly does "waiting" cost us? What does moving on give us/how does it benefit us?

He's one of the best players in the entire portal. He's by far the best player left. He solves multiple needs for us. But yeah, let's take ourselves out of the running because the kid took *checks notes* more than 4 days to make a decision.

Milan left the draft 5 whole days ago. Some of you seriously need to go touch grass.

I’ve been following UK basketball recruiting on this site (and previous versions of it) for about 30 years. And damn near one of those years we’ve waited on one or more recruits to make a decision. And invariably, every time it tends to drag on, we see a post like this one. “Time to move on.”. “He’s being dramatic.”. “He just wants the attention.”. “The coach can’t close the deal.”.

It’s very predictable! And almost funny.

He had been in discussions weeks before he pulled out of the draft.....

That kind of tactic may have some usefulness early in the portal season when there’s talent left on the board. There’s practically nobody else left at this stage of the game though. We may not seal the deal with him regardless, but there’s not really any opportunity cost to waiting him out now. He has all the leverage, and his camp certainly knows that.

Instant gratification society is a thing. Some of y’all prove it right. “If he doesn’t make a decision by (arbitrary deadline set by random internet poster), we should back off.”

Tale as old as time for this board or at least since 2004.

Milan and anyone else undecided has until the first day of classes in August to commit/enroll.

Watched pot never boils and what not.

Try to enjoy summer. Check in a couple times a day and live life.

We’ll get the guy or we won’t. It will be awesome or it won’t. Not much any of us can do about it either way.
