perhaps a new trophy for the trophy case in the shape of a hand with the thumb and index finger about a quarter inch apart, depicting how close we are.

So, if we are down 5 and driving in the last minute of the game, do we really try to score or do we lay down so we can grab sole ownership of the season record for most one game losses? I mean, that's a record that will likely live on for decades. On the other hand, win the game and 5 years from now know one even remembers there was a 2021 season.

They are blood hungry vampires. They don't want nuance. They want their version of "justice"

That is such a perfect description. I constantly wonder why some are so fixated with looking back and not forward. It is wanting justice for making us endure this.

I will preface this by saying, I thought it was time to move on from Frost. However, fixing the small things keeping this team from winning is very doable.

You call Antwill a "dumb fooker", yet your sentiment that all loses are equal is incredibly stupid. It is a hell of a lot easier to find one more point, than to find 40. The fact that he has lost close games doesn't mean he always has to. Heck, just this year we have lost by a total of 49 points and have given up 44 points on special teams alone. Wouldn't hiring an ace special teams coach go a long way to winning more games? Wouldn't hiring a better OL coach? Seems a lot easier than starting over with a new staff, yet again. And why the hell would the firing of some other coach 15 years ago factor into wether or not to keep this coach?
Not antwill per se, more along the lines of that sentiment. The one that stops the carousel now with the worst crap coach in history. Yes, games have been close this year, but we still found ways to lose. This is year 4. I get that we saved potentially 9 million by keeping him one more year but that is just prolonging the obvious. Hey, let’s keep him if he wins 8 or more… I could live with that. Anything less and he needs to be gone.
I know they decided to keep him and I will have to live with that but if Frost wins 6-7 next year and is retained I will literally find another team.

I don’t know if some new blood on O will turn it around, I really hope it does. But, I guess we shall see.

And BTW for that other guy… yes, I do need a hug… maybe a young honey with supple bosoms….

I dont think you can say you are close when you lose 8 games. A 9-2 team that loses by a field goal in both losses is close. Id buy we are close to 6 wins, but asking 8 different outcomes isnt close especially when we were behind by double digits for a big portion of some of these games.

Probably something about the definition of insanity.

It seems like you might not understand that definition. If you are trying to adjust, make ch ages and improve that really isn’t doing the same thing is it?

I remember last off season when we “adjusted” and brought on Foreman and Peters. Man people ate that up.

If Frost was smart this week he would dial up a bunch of fullback traps. That alone would probably buy him several more years regardless of the win loss record.

he could also have our wide receivers split out wide in a 3 pt stance

I believe that the people that are upset are referring to retaining the same leadership at the top. Expecting him to become something that he hasn't been the last 4 years is a stretch. As everyone knows, were it not for his buyout and possibly his pedigree he'd have ended up on the trash heap already.

What a stupid take. Hiring new OL coach, adding a ST. Those are significant changes that could we positive impact. But sure, FB traps and 3-pt stances.
