Defense is the problem this evening. Oh, and RJ and Flat top being incredibly dumb. Ray needs to be fired asap.

We gotta get D1 players. Getting smoked on turnovers and not making FT's

We have some decent to good players. A competent coach should be able to do something with sword, ware and ready. Beyond those 3 we either have a lack of talent or experience.

But Ray can't coach offense. He looked clueless tonight against OM's zone.

I compare our current talent level to Georgia of most of the last decade (pre- KCP and Thompkins). We have a few guys that score some points because let's face it, someone has to score. We have some athletic guys on the perimeter but our bigs are not all that athletic. But all of them are less skilled than you would want players on a power league team to be.

The approach against the zone was atrocious.

THIS! Hard to beat the refs.
I almost threw my beer at the tv due to the bad calls/lack of calls. Freaking ridiculous.
I thought the team played well. Fred needs to just sit his @ss on the bench.
Sword is back. Ready had a very difficult matchup. Daniels is turning out to be a good player.

OM missed 8 FT's. We only got 11 total.

FT's

OM 29-37
Us 6-11

An absolute shame for the effort that we got from Sword last night to be all for naught. He had one of the best games of his college career and if he truly has learned how to knock down the 3, look out.

Nailed it. Individually, we can put 5 players on the court that don't suck. But they're all below average for the SEC (a healthy Sword is probably average). When you put 5 below average player on the floor, you're going to lose a lot of games. And yes, we looked like we had no clue in the world how to attach a zone, other than the time Ready split the two guards in the 2-3.

That was Bloodman if you are talking about the possession they replayed where we were swinging it and the ball went back to the top and the pass to the left wing was faked, then the PG penetrated for about a 14 foot jumper. Amazingly, that was Trivante.

I am actually shocked it was only a 6 point win by the Bears and that we actually had a 4 point halftime lead on the road. #MoralVictory

Didn't see the that one (I only saw most of the 2nd half). The one I'm talking about was about midway through the 2nd half where Ready just took it straight down the middle (just inside the defender on the right side of the zone from his perspective) and took about a 5 footer right over the big man. Damn, we penetrated twice and then just passed it around the perimeter the rest of the game? You'd think when you do something twice that works you might want to go back to it more often.
