We had the ball with 38 seconds down two to Kansas, we were down 4 with 2 and 1/2 minutes and throw the ball away on the fast break.
Actually, playing with intensity is a skill, and figuring that out takes some time when jumping levels...

OP is right, Frustating to lose, but hopefully this team will improve.
Winning or losing can be used as a learning experience. On the other hand, you can win or lose and not learn a damn thing. Time will tell.
Regardless..UK is essentially blowing a top 3 seed or better. Beating a bunch of cupcakes, decent Va Tech team and losing all the remaining non conference games isn't going to help their seed. Now you can see this team has 6 or more SEC losses in them.
So if you go into NCAA with 10ish losses, you're staring down a 5 seed or worse and now we're playing a top seed very early in tournament. What UK pulled off in Randle's year was rare (and to be honest UK won all the games by the skin of their teeth that run). This team doesn't appear to have high ceiling kids like Randle, etc...so at this point...I just don't see the great potential of our talent to be honest.

I agree. That tape session will be brutal. Watching it and seeing the mistakes will be a major factor in improving this team. Object lesson. Watching yourself on tape really has an impact.
Thanks OP, I am glad there is someone else on this board with some sense! This is basketball, not jousting. There is a learning curve. We live to fight another day.

It’s a bad loss, bottom line. UCLA is not very good and the team lost on bad effort. If you lose learning lessons about bad pick angles, then I’m ok. If you lose learning lessons about not caring or giving basic effort, then it’s simply a bad loss.
This team dropped in polls when winning. Imagine what will happen with a bad loss, and deservedly so. Lots of work to do and can turn it around but we are not a good team right now.

This team is not very good. Harrison's top at each position, Randle, Kat, AD, MKG, Teague, T Jones, Booker was a luxury top 20 player, Ulis too.
We have not been that good since 15, this team is a top 15-20 player team. Not top 5 player or top 1-2 at every position. We have slipped mightily in recruiting in comparison to those teams, good teams. Hard to say this when you are recruiting to such a high level but not the high level of Wall/Cousins Teague, AD, MKG, Harrsison's. Good if you want to get good team next year bad if you want to do any damage in NCAA's, seed is going to be bad, at least 6-7 more losses to go.

I highly doubt this will be a bubble team. I’m guessing a 5-6 seed.
Next season will be much better.
