And, no, I have absolutely no inside knowlege one way or the other. But it just makes a lot of sense. BDJ needs the readership that SPS has. It makes a lot of sense to combine the two and let SPS be the BDJ message board.

Were you around when he used to randomly post "CTA" with no message? This is kind of the same thing.

I would read links someone sent me about message threads, but the Polk blow up got me hooked.

with BDJ.com, SixPack would be the free board. But I can say that we are not partnering up with BDJ.com...maybe.

And if you wanted to pay, you'd get access to the "premium" message board and all the editorial content of the site. I think it would be a win-win-win-win situation. BDJ would get an instant big jump in readership, dawgstudent would get paid, readers who didn't want to pay would still get the same message board we currently have, and readers who did want to pay would get BDJ's editorial content. The only thing I would want to keep is the current message board format.

It would be followed with 20 or 30 posts (sometimes more, sometimes less) attempting to figure what CTA stood for. Nothing ever came of it that I'm aware of and he hasn't done it in a while.

And it's really cool to think about how sixpackspeak started as just a message board that kicked Genespage MB ***, and now it will be a part of a site that has articles that kick Gene's ***. That would be a kick *** website. (assuming it happens of course.)

...but I loved Dana Carvey's bits on SNL, when he would play the old guy on the news.

and we liked it.

The entire draw of SPS is that this is the "outsiders" board. This is the board that tells all those fake-*** commercial boards to suck it. When this becomes just another fake *** commercial board (and signing with anyone that requires subscription will make it that way eventually) then someone else is going to have to go out and start a new outsiders board. So start reserving those domain names now!

If it goes too far then the outlaw band of rebels will go find another outlaw band of rebels place to show their non-conformity. That's the problem with damned outlaw bands of rebels.
