Start with the stretch where 3 fouls were called on MSU in 4 seconds, including the third one on a dead ball, to put Duke in the bonus.

I’ve been watching for decades, and that is 100% how refs get involved to influence a game.

You can’t point to “fouls being called” as proof things are rigged. I don’t remember that stretch a whole lot but just because fouls were called there doesn’t mean they weren’t the right fouls. I just looked and if anything, them getting put into the bonus at that time helped MSU, as Duke didn’t attempt any non shooting free throws the rest of the game after that point until MSU had to intentionally foul.

Those calls weren't nearly as bad as you claim. Holmgren should have been smart enough to not put himself in those positions after he could clearly see how the game was being called. As tall as he is, he should have been able to block those shots without making any body contact. Most all guards are coached to drive into the big players to force the contact. He should have known that and avoided it. It is bad enough being a UK fan with an incompetent coach. Why make it worse with all the crying from our fanbase claiming that other teams are getting advantages that we don't get? The only real advantage other teams have over us are competent coaches who understand how to execute effective defenses, offenses, and the use of timeouts.

At this point, you are saying that he should have let Arkansas score at will because Doug Shows is corrupt.

So, he does that, and people call him and Gonzaga get called soft.

So Holmgren should have either blocked their shots or got outta the way so they could have a layup? Standing or jumping straight up and down with someone plowing into you isnt a foul, contact or not. At least 2 of his fouls were clear non fouls. Refs changed the game by taking out Gonzagas best player in the 2H. Refs clearly influence games with bad calls, and i wouldnt be surprised if theres times its intentional. Dont know how that can even be argued.
