How can anyone be negative when this team was dead and has come back to life?

Yes we need improvement in many areas but at least this staff is learning and not afraid to try something new.

We have a pulse. It is amazing how we had no talent and no play makers and now suddenly wait, maybe we do have several play makers.

With even average QB play, everyone gets better.

I'll tell you why: because there are some posters here who bitched about everything Schiano did, from Day 1, everything Flood did, from Day 1, and everything done under Ash since Day 1. Also, there are some here who LOVED Flood, HATED seeing him fired, thought it was unjust, and are picking apart the STUPIDEST f*cking things right now. It's pathetic.

I'm excited. Thought the blocking was better, QB play obviously a world of difference and the D played well. We'll be in a lot more games.

Let's see how we do the next 4 games, and on February 1st. Then we can revisit this.

This game although a loss was a move in the right direction. I believe this loss could have been a win if it were not for two or three bone headed plays and special teams play. I did like Coach Ash's enthusiasm and preparation for the game. I do believe that he may need a supporting cast with a bit more experience next year.

Great title to the thread this close to Halloween. I know this sounds really "Rutgers", but this is the best I've felt after a loss in quite awhile.

I know this is not the same type of team that Greg inherited but it isn't all that much better. We gave him 11 years to get to where we got.
Can we give this poor guy more than 7 games? How many first-year head coaches would have done better considering the big picture here?

Laviano is dreadful. Long Island doesn't produce QBs, Esiason being the lone historical exception. That is all.
