Was the 3rd of June, 1984 when I arrived in Fairbanks for the summer.
I never left, live on Kodiak Island now.

Getting to Alaska was my dream since reading a National Geographic article about that faraway wild place in 1967. In full disclosure, I never really intended to only stay that first summer. It is what I told my parents as I dropped out of college yet one more time.

Truly the trip of a lifetime.
