To be in the Big XII and lose a recruit to Minnesota then follow that by losing a recruit to South Alabama

It must really suck being ranked 39 spots behind a pretty average WVU team...not as badly as being 0-12 against the team you hate most, though...

Oh don't worry about our recruiting. We will be good when it is all said and done

You're fighting a pointless battle trying to argue with Fever. He told me this week that Marshall would beat Iowa State 8 out of 10 times this year in somehow trying to justify the Herd's 9-3 record.

You don't recruit JUCO kids if they aren't going to be impact players right away. So I guess according to your coaches.

Elijah Battle - Expected to come in and compete for the starting Corner Spot. Committed to WVU, signed with Minnesota

Neiko Robinson - Expected to come in and compete for a starting Safety spot. Committed to WVU signed with South Alabama.

"expected" is the key word .... the only "impact recruits" are the ones that actually come in and make an impact. The list is long of those that were "expected" to make an impact and never did.

I'm kinda surprised I have to explain this ... but then again, I'm not at all surprised.

Already dismissing a recruit who doesn't sign to WVU in such Mountaineer manner. Let me guess, they had their offers stripped the night before because the staff is in on better recruits lol

You don't seem to understand what was said ... I'm not surprised.

I was referencing the number of recruits that DID sign with WVU that were "expected" to be this or that and ended up making no impact or minimal impact.

I'm not dismissing these recruits at all, you're pumping them up as program killers because we didn't land them.

Neither one of us knows if they would have made a significant impact or not.

After so many that were "expected" to be great and weren't, I don't get hyped about recruiting one way or another. I don't deem them great players until I actually see them on the field performing for us.

I have to agree... recruiting is such a crap shoot that only a know nothing gets too high or too low on signing day! BTW, no way we lose twice out of ten games with the mighty Cyclones!

Maybe, maybe not, but that has nothing to do with the point. :)
Tell your pals at ISU, once they get their10th coach in the last 20 years settled, to call 1-800-THE-HERD if they want another *** kicking from a team from WV! ISU is horrible, granted not KU horrible though!

Isn't it hilarious how they follow our recruiting close enough to know if one commit leaves for another program? OBSESSED!

That's exactly the point ... the particular Herdie fan in question set his sights all the way up to ISU .... aiming high, the Marshall way.
In that case tell Bob Stoops to call us...we can't fare any worse with the Sooners than you boys have!

Truth be told, I doubt you would win a 10 game series against Iowa State. Can you say Ohio, Middle Tennessee & Western Kentucky?

Let's face it, your resume is not impressive and the national rankings bear that out. Just sayin....

That list is all Bowl bound teams...where are the Cyclones spending the holidays? Wonderful Ames, Iowa?

Why would Bob Stoops call you? They're too busy scheduling SEC teams OOC. Have your coach and/or AD call him ... of course, you know there's no chance of that happening.

I'm confident we'd play the Sooners under the right circumstances.

Wasn't Angelo Jean Louis supposed to be an All American transfer from PSU for you guys?

See this is why you should never follow recruiting. We signed him out of Prep School and he was a Conference All-Freshman player before being voted out by Teammates.

See before you speak, know the conversation first. The discussion was because of Marshalls SOS our record is crap. I said SOS is not a good indication how good a team is. Then I said Iowa State had the #1 ranked SOS and won 3 games. UCF had a terrible SOS and didn't win a game.

Flaunting your ignorance! Well done herd fever. Congratulations on your undefeated season.

Who said anything about undefeated season??
With your cupcake schedule you must have finished undefeated.

You know, the real humor is that you state, "The discussion was because of Marshalls SOS our record is crap" and yet, in this thread the first mention of SOS was by you. Wait, the ONLY mention of SOS was by you. The funniest part is you use two bad teams to try and prove that strength of schedule means nothing. It's funny because they were bad teams with tough schedules and so they lost a lot. Imagine if they had played the Charmin soft herd schedule. The herd played no one, and still lost three games. "Let that sink in."

Your record IS crap because of your SOS ... you can't even make a coherent point.

Let me explain ... no, not enough time ... let me sum up

You played a **** schedule and STILL lost 3 games. Your schedule was such **** that you should be embarrassed to have lost 3 games against the kinds of teams you played.

If you played the #1 SOS like you say ISU did, and your record was 9-3, then maybe that's not so bad. You only played ONE team in the top FIFTY and didn't even come close in that game.
