Could be. Perry only works at one school at a time.
Apparently an assistant coach contacting a student athlete about transferring is frowned upon more so than an alum who donates to the wrestling program. Yes, Ski Bunny Bob, I am talking about you.

Chris Perry doing this crap is like saying water is wet. He is a known quantity.
There is something that does not make sense to me. The NCAA release made a point of saying that Dresser did not know "that Perry’s conversations pertained to recruiting them to more than the Cyclone RTC" which would imply he knew Perry was having conversations. Yet somehow Dresser did not know they were about ISU in spite of the fact he had previously "communicated with an exiting men’s wrestling head coach at another university and expressed interest in recruiting two of that coach’s student-athletes." I find it wholly unbelievable that he did not know, or suspect, what Perry's conversations were about.
And remember this is the same Dresser who inadvertently admitted to breaking an NCAA rule on FRL when he discussed how he arranged the brackets at the last chance open to insure his guys got enough 1 second wins to boost their win percentages to the NCAA qualifying minimum.. Nothing happened to him then either, though the NCAA changed its rules regarding last chance opens.

The NCAA didn't have the evidence that Dresser knew. And they self imposed so they probably stopped digging and then Dresser retired. The NCAA will take phones . Perry not being an NCAA coach he doesn't legally have to give up his phone.

Another thing that beggars belief is that Dresser believed Perry was recruiting wrestlers with remaining NCAA eligibility for the RTC only.
I will go to my grave believing Dresser knew what he was buying when he brought Perry to ISU.

I think one would have to be pretty naive to think this isn't happening at more programs than not.
If KD was doing anything I'd bet it was more to help his guy become the best he can be. KD is bought in 100% to his athletes.

I’ll confess to not fully understanding, and I don’t take stances without knowing enough.
Is KD a supporter of any school?
Hypothetically, if a parent of a current wrestler at School A talks to the family of a non-portaled wrestler at School B about how B’s wrestler would be welcome at A, is that a violation?
The issue with Perry is the Club pays him a salary. He's at every practice and travels with the team he also recruits. They had to call him a "booster" to punish him. Iowa st thought they found a loophole and the NCAA let them know that won't be tolerated. He's basically a coach no other "boosters" that people have mentioned are actually coaches thats the difference Perry was a coach he sat right behind the bench and would get up and tell them when to throw the brick . It's kinda hard to act like he was not a coach at Iowa st doing what he was doing on a daily basis. Remember Hamiti left KC and went directly to Stillwater after NCAA before he entered the portal Perry was doing this at Oklahoma st as well he just now got caught
What Corby said. So while Willie is crying about what other teams are/were doing - he's wrong. Perry/ISU gets hit because the dude is front and center. He coaches in practices, coaches on the sideline.
Willie is just a huge Chris Perry fan, so he's big mad about this. I don't know if Perry had just stayed in the background as an RTC coach if they would have got hit, but it sounds likely.

The NCAA isn't after boosters like that if so no one would've a football team. Perry was a coach can't believe people can't see the difference in a Bob , Ira or Richison. Those guys aren't running practices and being paid by the club to coach. What Iowa St was doing isn't being done anywhere else . They thought they found a loophole and the NCAA closed it
True, Slumlord Bob actually pays for the privilege of making coaching/roster decisions for your Hawkeyes. There is indeed a difference.
Can we manage to not put Ira and probably Richison in with Bob.
I know for a fact Ira isn't making phone calls to non portal guys asking "hey I can I offer you X amount of dollars to leave your school and come wrestle for Penn State", and I assume Richison isn't either.
Ira and Richison have put money on the table to allow Cael and Taylor to build what they want built, but you see neither on social media banging their chest pretending to be the true program leader and taking credit for doing big things like you know, "leveling the field".
Your lumping Bob in with Ira and Richison is simply a child like effort to paint a little legitimacy onto good ole ski bunny joking, Luke Lilledahl calling Bob Nicolls.
And let's not put Bob in with Perry since he's not being paid by the club or running practices, showing technique and wrestling with the guys. Just because Perry was labeled a booster that doesn't mean he wasn't a coach his job was RTC coach . Lumping Bob in with Perry is a bigger jump then lumping all the big boosters together
The Brands have talked with wrestlers at NCAAs about transferring but I sure as hell don't want them busted for it as it might give Iowa an excuse to get rid of Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum and no one, even an amateur hater such as myself, want to see competent coaching at Iowa.
