Why’s it a stupid take? Reed is a good player and he’s probably one of the best white players we’ve had in a very long time. It’s no hate towards him or anyone else. Duke was always known for having those kind of dudes who could shoot lights out like Reed does

Duke players often play with a sense of entitlement. Slapping the floor, flopping, tripping. A player being white does not make them a Duke like player.

Because he doesn't play with any of those characteristics. Do you see Reed flopping? Throwing his head back? Slapping the floor? Getting calls because of who he plays for? Reed has no douchebag characteristics.

He has a humility borne out of being raised by 2 Wildcats. He can shoot, and he is white, but he is not Laettner, Reddick, or Allen.

I think the real question is Reed a typical Cal player? The answer is no. Cal hasn’t had a player as fundamentally sound that’s just a “basketball player” in a long, long, time. Cal usually has guys with a lot of athleticism and size but little as far as basic basketball fundamentals IMO.
