What youngster fans like you need to understand now is that UK always has enough talent to beat any other team - as long as UK plays well. Until now, this particular team has been playing 20-25 minutes of bad basketball almost every game because of their stage of maturation. This week, that has dropped to 10-15 minutes of bad basketball per game. That's a new stage of maturation and, remember, this is still a freshman team with a few sophonores sprinkled in. At the end of the day, this team will beat almost any other team - IF we play well. But if we don't play well, we can still be beaten by almost any team. So it isn't about other teams getting upset, and it isn't about the bracket clearing out either. It's really just about our guys playing 40 minutes of good, solid basketball.

So you would rather play UNC? I'll take on all comers too, but, I'll always take a lower seed too. Luck falling in place for us right now, and I like that because after two or three years of screwing and bad luck? We deserve a little break.
Yes, we are playing well. But NO ONE wants to run a gauntlet every year. Here lately we've had to, and that's all I meant by "stars aligning".
I've noticed this team playing better. LOTS. And without Vandy. I'll be honest, didn't think we had much of a shot without him playing SOME in the SECT. We truly turned a corner in that Bama game...and it continues.
And as this tourney has showed, anyone can beat anybody right now. So, one game at a time. But I really like our chances now to get to the Final game.
