Let’s not overhype this team.
Because so many freshmen are always at the core of our teams, every year is a process. Plus, the SEC has become a strong basketball conference. I believe our next team will be very competitive for #9 by next March. But expecting them to be dominant by December is asking for disappointment.

We don't even know the players the front court is comprised of yet. Unless you do.

Thats kind of my point. We dont have a single player to say he will bang down low or he is serviceable big. Even if Richard's and EJ cameback I wouldnt say the frontcourt is properly staffed.

My moneys on juzang and Quickley. Maxey can also score from anywhere
Sestina hit in the high 30s percentage wise even Blackshear isn’t terrible Maxey is considered a good three point shooter Juzang rep is of a shooter. Allan is good shooter Brooks isn’t a slouch from 3 either we could conceivably have a lineup on the floor Maxey Quickley Juzang McDaniel, and Sestina and all five guys would have to be respected from outside

And the unrealistic and grossly over-hyped expectation train roars out of the station.

Why don’t we wait and see how they do when they play actual basketball for the first time against real competition.

The word troll has become the internet forum version of fake news incredibly overused basically translates to I don’t like what the person is saying so I want to discredit and blackball them
I don’t believe you’re a troll but the answer to your question is resounding no.

Nobody in this incoming class is remotely close to a Webber or a Rose or even a Juwan Howard.

Jimmy King and Ray Jackson...,probably.

Wiseman, Hampton, Brooks, Juzang, McDaniels. That would be something similar to the Fab 5.

Up until the Juzang signing I thought this might be Cal's lowest rated class, partly because Sestina won't count. But now that we've added Juzang and maybe McDaniels it may turn out this is Cal's second highest rated class numbers wise behind only 2013 and that class had 8 players.

It's a great volume recruiting class but only 5 can play at one time. I do agree with an earlier post that the front court is a bit suspect regarding a physical talented offensive big man and defensive stopper. Richard's is slow and often a turnover and EJ has not shown much of an offense. Sestina might be the answer but he has not played at this level through a season. Would Blackshear be eligible this season? He might be the missing piece if so.

We have quantity in this class, but are any of these guys on the level of a Randle, Towns, or MKG? It’s nice to have a lot of options, but we may need 1 of them to be star level to really move the needle.

For all intents and purposes yes
So wait, you aren several threads trashing UK fans for hoping Blackshear comes to UK because, in your opinion, he ain’t coming here, but you're just going to go on on and count McDaniels as committed? How do you.know he's coming to UK?

Hypocrite much?

Hahahaha, this is sooooo rich coming from you. Wow.

So what is your response to me when I say Blackshear is coming to UK? And don't change your tune now.

Blackshear is the key. Without him, we are missing a key piece of the puzzle.

People.need to drop worrying about 3 point shooting, it is a secondary option in Cal's offense. We only shoot 12 or so per game.

Our guards either score on the break or they pass the ball around the horn until a big gets position. He either spins and shoots or he might kick it out to an.open shooter, but that doesn't happen often.

Just get Jaden and Kerry and we're good.

He’s not there’s no reason to think he is
So it's not okay for others to talk about the possibility of KB on next years team, but you can go ahead and state that McDaniels will definitely be on the team next year?

So you know, 100% factual, that KB isn’t coming to UK? You know for certain? Positive?

I of course hope we get McDaniels. But, am I wrong that there were several experts including KSR who felt from observations that he still had a long way to go in development? In other words there were some significant mixed reviews.

So YOU are "reasonably certain" with your predictions.

So tell the rest of us how we are supposed to act? I say that because you literally chastise anyone that suggests Blackshear COULD potentially be on the roster next year, like you know for certain he won't be, but then turn around and state that McDaniels is all but confirmed on the roster.

Are we just supposed to bow down to your thoughts and hold them as truth?
