Here is the current West standings
Wisc 2-0 conf
MN 1-0
Iowa 1-0
Neb 1-1
Purdue 0-1
NW 0-2
Illinois 0-2
For the sake of simplicity Im taking Purdue, NW, and Ill out of the equation. Yes they could win it but again let go with top 4 right now. My prediction for each game is highlighted.
Wisc has Mich St W, @ Illinois W, @Ohio St L, Iowa W, @ neb W, Purdue W, MN W. Next to Ohio St they look like the next best team in the BIG. The only realistic shots I give them to lose would be to Mich St, Iowa, and Ohio St, maybe us if we can get our **** together. So Best case they are 8-1, worst case they are 6-3
MN has Illinois W, Nebraska L, @ Rutgers W, Maryland W, Penn St L, @ Iowa L, @ NW W, Wisc L While 4-0 they have looked worse than us so far. I could honestly see them with potential to lose 6 of these 8. So going with Best case 6-3. Worst case 3-6
Iowa has @ Michigan L, Penn St L, Purdue W, @ NW W, @ Wisc L, MN W, Illinois W, @ Nebraska W. Iowa has looked good, but nothing special. I would bet they in that 3 loss range for sure. But they do like to try hard for at least 1 ranked team a year. So best case I see 7-2. Worst case. 5-4
Neb has NW W, @ MN W, Indiana W, @ Purdue W, Wisc L, @ Maryland W, Iowa L I see us in a similar boat (no pun intended) as Mn. We could easily lose all if we played like we have all year. We have not looked good and if we want any shot at the West we have to play better ball. Worst case 3-6. Best Case 6-3.
Basically Wisc and Iowa I don't think are going to do us any favors and lose games they shouldn't. We will have to beat both and probably have a BIG record of 7-2 or 8-3 and wins over both to have a shot at the west. Do you see us losing only 1 or 2 more games this year based on how we have played so far?
