It makes no sense and it also puts the university in an odd position. While the university does control the land, it's basically public space and the university is more than its athletic department. Asking hosts to do things to discourage people from being outside when we are ostensibly in the tail end of a pandemic is putting them in an awkward position where they have to admit they don't care about science or don't care about people's health, or just care about the NCAA more than science or people's health. All less than ideal positions for a public university to take.

I would hope there will be a lot of people protesting outside the stadium this weekend. Perfect place to exercise 1st amendment rights to protest the baseball scholarship situation. Can probably set up some tents with food in them, maybe some coolers and TVs set up to provide live examples of baseball players getting screwed just because they happen to be the same sex as football players that generate a lot of money for the school and take up a lot of scholarships. Maybe put some signs up with info on Matt Wyatt's documentary.

We had to leave stadium between games and we were all (as in everybody in the LFL parking lot that wanted to) sat around on tailgates and drank beer, eating junk etc) so no it wasn't enforced at least around the stadium. Not sure about elsewhere
