So many have left for "greener " pastures what would it take to change the status quo here in NC?

We have spring ball in NC. Just not a game against another school or full pads. If we did it would hurt other sports worse than it is now. Many kids have to choose to do spring ball or play baseball or track. That shouldn't be the case. More sports kids play the better their grades, more opportunities, and usually it helps them stay out of trouble.

Spring ball is NCHSAA. Low teacher pay is NC issue starting with state legislature and working down to the local systems which is where the additional teacher pay and coaching supplements are determined.

Sammy, I know you know this but many posters do not.

It is also different from county to county. I do not know how New Hanover county keeps any good coaching. I know there some assistant coaches that would have taken a pay cut for the NH job and the Laney and Hoggard job a few years back.
