I think Reeves is gone man. He is confirmed unenrolled from UK and all rumors stating he is at Illinois State wrapping up degree. Would be incredibly odd for him to push to graduate over summer only to come back to UK as a graduate student.
The Illinois state thing isn’t true, they still have players int the directory from 10 years ago. Reeves is still probably gone but I don’t get what his holdup is

Antonio “1 for 15” Reeves is not going to garner much NIL here after shooting UK right out of the NCAAs last season.
Lol…I see Herros is back on his ********. Dude has been popping off all season how Reeves is coming back to help lead us to #9. Now he’s a bum. I think Herros might be the most bi polar poster on here.

If Reeves wanted to be here, he would have said he was coming back after the combine. The fact that he didn’t is very telling. Thanks for the 37 against Arkansas, but that 1-15 vs KSU will be my lasting memory. Enjoy Michigan or wherever else he may end up🤷‍♂️

Which is dumb why he even met with Cal IMO because he unenrolled when he went to the combine.

He is confirmed unenrolled from UK so that isn’t good IMO. He would have done the classes here IMO.
If he goes back to Illinois State to finish, does he receive a diploma from Illinois State ?? Do all credits from UK apply to his degree there ?? How does that work ??

Reeves was really good last season and should have got more run. Statistically one of the best 3pt shooting seasons in UK history.

If he leaves us, I'll be bummed.

Also if he leaves us I will not pretend that he wasn't a good player for us or that we will be better without him.

I thought that may be the case but I search a couple of their players from several years ago and they don't show up like Reeves does (assuming you are referring to the tweet screen shot that was out).

Fwiw, Pilgrim is reporting he is there (adds up) but hasn't confirmed from family.

that was the one I was referring to. I just don’t get it. Why not announce already then, and why leave a situation that was catered towards him

When he unenrolled during or before the combine

This is a quote from Pilgrim:

I was told during the draft process he unenrolled from UK. That’s where a lot of my initial pessimism about his return came from/grad transfer buzz started. Can’t get it confirmed from Reeves’ camp, but had heard from UK if he went the grad transfer route, it’d probably be through Illinois State to wrap things up. This adds up.

He has all the leverage. Someone posted a second ago...I think it is a valid point. Maybe he is slow playing UK to see how desperate they become. Problem is I don't see Cal falling for that...good or bad, he is stubborn as hell. I don't think he would let a player like Reeves dictate anything.

The only way I see it now is if he misses on hart and mukcalhy(which I don’t think Kentucky get anyways)

I agree Reeves was a very good offensive player.

But he was very inconsistent, IMHO.

He had some monster games for sure.

He also had some “1 for whatever” games throughout the season and then the infamous second round flameout.

And his defense was abysmal. One of the weakest defenders Cal has ever had, IMHO.

But he was a very good offensive player overall, even with the bad shooting games.

Last season would have turned out better if Fredrick could have stayed healthy and Cal would have played Reeves and Fredrick together on the wings. That was a combo that would have worked, IMHO. Fredrick was a shell of his former self this past season. What a shame.

Something is VERY wrong inside the Kentucky basketball program. Mass defections, boosters giving Calipari the cold shoulder, transfer portal failures and on and on.
If Calipari can't get the best offensive threat from last year's team to stick around then, to me that says Reeves wants out of Lexington ASAP. You have to ask WHY that is.

Don't look at this as a issue only with Reeves. Why did Livingston and so many others desperately want out? What caused the drama with Wheeler at the end of the year? Why couldn't Calipari land Dickinson and any other premium talent from the portal? Why can't Calipari fill the open assistant spot?

From the outside it looks like the program is in complete disarray, players are running away from the program like it's on fire and Calipari is using up all his friends. I can't see opposing coaches NOT using all of this against UK in recruiting.
If next season is a disaster...and it very well could be .with the #1 recruiting class and no experience and very questionable shooting...how can something not be done?

If Reeves cared about this team and was gonna stay, he would have said by now.
These kids have very good reasons for leaving UK. I don't believe it's the basketball facilities or NIL. My opinion they are leaving Cal....not UK.
Perhaps Cal is in the middle stages of Bob Knight syndrome.

I agree 100% something has went to hell really quick, it seemed like Oscar’s first year he kind of had the program on the right rack and it’s imploded since that St. Peter’s loss.
