I definitely think Prince's Superbowl performance was overblown. It was good, but people talk about it like it was the best ever, especially after he died.

I think we are at a split in generations here. Prince was a great musician, but what songs I know from him are "Little Red Corvette", "Kiss", "Rasberry Barrett", "1999" and "Purple Rain". I wouldn't listen to that normally. His sound feels aged and poppy to me. I'll listen to JT because his sound is closer to the music I listen to normally.

Now bashing JT for playing and singing a Prince son in Prince's hometown is something that I won't understand. No JT isn't Prince and never will be, but he can still play a Prince song in honor of him. It's been done thousands of other times for thousands of other artists.

Timberlake is an actor pretending to be a musician. Prince actually spent most of his time mastering multiple instruments and writing music while Timberlake spent most of his times working on his hair and dancing with boys.

While Prince definitely stopped producing good music in the 90s on........he wrote some very memorable hits and was at the top of his game in the 80s. I couldn't name you one song that Timberlake sang at the Super Bowl other than I would die 4 U.

Timberlake is overrated as a musician and underrated as an actor IMO.

i've seen lots of different acts from Dave Matthews, George Strait, Panic, Chris Stapleton, Elton John, and many many more. i saw Prince in 1998 and was absolutely blown away. he is by far the best musician i've ever witnessed. he played every instrument on the stage at some point and was by far better than anyone that was playing it.

so anyone that thinks he is no good or anything, Cross this line ----> | <-------
