I've told this story before, but I met Daniel Ochefu in 2011 when I represented UK at a college fair at his high school in West Chester. Very nice kid and told me he would love to be recruited by UK. Scared me at the time because I didn't know what the NCAA rules allowed me to say to him.

So I have followed his career pretty closely. I wanted this championship for him, and to see him pretty much outplay UNC's vaunted front court was so satisfying. He really wasn't very good as a freshman, but like WCS did at UK he just worked hard and got better.
