I'm not sure about that but if we somehow only win 5, I would fire him. I think we will win 6 even without Kamario. Possibly 7 or 8 with him.If he does he should be gone
Agree about the 2nd part. If we get a few players back healthy soon, 7 wins is definitely still in the table. Could win 6 even without them. On the fence about firing him if we only won 5 without them. Ordinarily it would be a no brainer to fire him. But if we have to keep him to keep Kamario, man that would be a hard trigger to pull.I'm not sure about that but if we somehow only win 5, I would fire him. I think we will win 6 even without Kamario. Possibly 7 or 8 with him.
I think we are going to win the Egg Bowl. Total gut feeling. He did what he had to do in September to give him the breathing room for October. If we are 4-4 heading into the last four, he is still set up for a 7-5 season that assures him another year. 6-6 probably gets him back too, as long as the Egg Bowl isn't an embarrassing disaster.
If K1 can run he isnt K1. He is not gonna play good until he is 90% healed. Him being a statue that cant push off when passing is a loss waiting to happen. Plus higher risk for further injuryForget 2025. This team is currently playing like 2024. And they played that badly against Bama even with KT.
I've been patiently waiting for Lebby to prove he can be a successful head coach. He can't.
We're one more run at this away from September Mississippi State becoming a thing.Injuries are playing a huge part but after starting 4-0 - are we looking at 4-4 again.
Yep, worst case scenario is playing outI think anyone with sense can see how this story ends. Lebby has proven he can’t build a roster and can’t hire quality coaches. He (or rather Kamario) will win just enough to bring him back. Or our alums fear of losing Kamario will bring him back.
Next year could be slightly better but I expect to still fall short of what we hope due to lack of surrounding pieces. 2028 will be a whole lot of the last 2-3 weeks. Next man up in 2029
RookieI think we are going to win the Egg Bowl. Total gut feeling.
The feeling may be indigestionRookie
If that scenario plays out, nobody will be complaining. Well, I take that back, the folks who are obsessed with Ole Miss will be crying about them beating us 3 times in a row. But 7-5 with retention of the roster will get us hype going into 2027. 8-10 wins has us likely in the expanded playoff.I've been saying since last year, we are going to improve but not so much that the haters will be satisfied. So 7-5 is the record. He'll be able to say he's improved every year, which he has. 2027 is the year. Retain K1. Improve the lines. Win 8-10 games. Which still won't satisfy some. But this has been visible on the horizon for a while. It's his MO at this point.
Vandy and Tenn tech are very winnable without KT. I think haveing Fluff without KT gives us a little better chance in a few of the other games.
Something that Hadad also mentioned is that the team’s two most urgent portal needs were LT and a pass rusher, and Lebby completely whiffed on both.On T&L’s latest episode, it is discussed that Lebby is the reason the team is in the shape it is in. We could possibly be 6-0 with a healthy K1. We could also be 5-1 with a serviceable QB2. But instead, Lebby had 2 huge mis-evaluations on transfer QBs and a horrible OL that got QB1 hurt in the first place. This on top of previous two years should provide all the motivation/reason the AD needs to find better options at HC.
I honestly don't think it's a decision at all. The administration is very committed to Lebby. Firing was never on the table unless we just completely tanked the season (which still could happen). But that's something where your hand must be forced. Barring some crazy lose out situation, or a mishandling of Taylor, Lebby will be back.I was just thinking, here we are basing decisions on keeping a coach or not by if we beat Vanderbilt and TN Tech but get totally exposed by the others. What a way to run a program................
To ever think that we were going to fix a LT and DE issue in the portal, was a flawed concept to begin with. After QB those are the most sought after positions. It's not happening.Something that Hadad also mentioned is that the team’s two most urgent portal needs were LT and a pass rusher, and Lebby completely whiffed on both.
No matter how you want to prioritize the team’s needs this offseason, aside from WR, why should fans have any confidence whatsoever on he and Arnett fixing them?
Absolutely. There's a reason why McDonald's and Burger King were runaway success stories.Consistency is key to successful management
So you think we beat Vandy and TT...and who else w/o KT?I'm not sure about that but if we somehow only win 5, I would fire him. I think we will win 6 even without Kamario. Possibly 7 or 8 with him.
We have 4 wins right now. Vandy and TT would be 6.So you think we beat Vandy and TT...and who else w/o KT?
ISO agrees. Quality is your ability to produce stuff in a repeatable, documented manner.Consistency is key to successful management
We are another one or two injuries away from Vandy being a toss up.We have 4 wins right now. Vandy and TT would be 6.
Why Lebby? Make it make sense. I’m not saying don’t bring him back if we get to 8 wins or something, but he absolutely does not get a free pass at all just to preserve continuity.2027 needs to have Lebby, Kamario and Fluff all back. I don't really care how things play out with our injuries this year.
