Is it Napier with Chizik as the DC?

just kind of thought of this. Chizik wants back in the SEC and coaching. We want Napier for everything he brings to the table. Cohen also wants Chizik's experience as a head coach in the SEC but doesn't want him as the head guy. makes a deal to bring him in as DC and associate head coach under Napier to help steer the ship the first couple of years. maybe not. just might make a little sense with Chizik's name being thrown around.

I think it's high time to get the checkbook out and go get some real assistants. It's our time to go and steal them away from some of these SEC ******** i.e. Merlin; Saban; etc. You know that there's a bunch ready to go coach for someone who won't crucify them when they think outside the box.

i think it makes sense. either that or throw the check book at Grantham to come back to Starkville to watch his son play baseball and he can help Napier steer the ship as a first time SEC head coach. Napier has a tone of experience also in SEC and he has been building a great program at ULL. I think pairing him with Chizik or Grantham would be a homerun.

true. but chizik was a decent DC. i just wouldn't want him as the head guy, but as a DC/recruiter/associate coach i think he would do alright. Grantham would be my first choice though for DC.
