Is Cincinnati for real?

I live in Cincinnati and have a daughter that attends UC. I watch a ton of college basketball, but believe it or not, I have only watched one UC game this year and that was against Xavier. My question is for those who have watched them. I know the AAC conference is weak, but are they a legit top ten team? How would they match up with UK if paired in the same region?

No, they're not real. Okay, they beat UCLA, so what.
UC plays physical, but they have no studs or size. They just don't play anyone that is any good besides X.

Cincy relies on the same type of game as WVU does. They have a reputation as a tough, elite defensive team so refs let them get away with the physical, bodying, grabbing, slapping defense that isn’t suppose to exist anymore. All it takes is one game officiated the way it’s suppose to be and they are screwed. They are also the type of offensively challenged teams that gets bounced early in the tourney, ala Virginia.

It seems like Cincy always has one good player. James "Flight" White, Yancy Gates, Sean Killpatrick, Lance Stephenson, etc. Haven't watched them at all this year though.

I hope UK sees them and beats them. Makes me happy to see Mick Cronin with Little Man's Syndrome get his *** beat by UK and I know Cal loves it too. He still has a hard on for Rick Pitino and Slick has been pictured wearing their gear. More reason to want to beat them and their fans across the river who so badly want there to be a rivalry.

This is definitely one of Cronin’s better teams.

They’re really good defensively, but they’re better offensively than most of his previous teams have been.
Right now they’re probably a 3-4 seed,

Living across the river in NKY I see a lot of their games on TV but to be honest they are decent. As with every team, nobody knows what will happen come tournament time..

UC fans tell me different but I don't see them as better than last year. Solid defensively but sporadic on offense. Neither Jenifer or Broome is as good as the 4-year starter Troy Caupain. Still a deep and talented team that can make NCAA noise. UCLA spanked them in last years tourney.
