Why no zone tonight and make them change their game plan. Have to go sideways rather than pick and roll or straight line drives. They didn’t have shooters
There’s this thing called a zone. Duke is not a perimeter shooting team this year. A zone would’ve been the answer to their point blank shots all night, but Cal either doesn’t believe in it or doesn’t know how to teach it.
Cal has taken the joy out of UK bball for me. It’s not all his fault. I’m old now and have different priorities. But watching the sh#t show that Washington was out there tonight, as we did with Boston last year, while Allen sits has taken all the fun out of it.
No, a zone was not the answer..Duke has some shooters and I can just see Paolo flashing to the ft line and scoring 40...Duke was better tonight..maybe not in 3 months

I 100% understand what you are saying. I’m not going to root for any other team but I just don’t enjoy watching what UK basketball has become like I used to enjoy UK basketball.
The story of tonight was that cal missed on Banchero. Cal missed on Duren. And Cal missed on Lively and Cal missed on Bona. I see a pattern here. Cal isn’t the recruiter he once was. Idk what happened, but I’m sick of this being Kentucky basketball. It’s gotten to the point that I don’t even get excited for these games anymore because the outcome is pretty much a foregone conclusion. Cal’s system used to be fun to watch with the top end talent. He’s not getting the cream of the crop anymore and it’s gotten stagnant and boring and predictable. I’ll give him until next year with the group he has coming in. We’ll see if he can get it done with that group. Even though he’s going to have to pull a good big man out of his *** or else we’re going to have much of the same. It’s final four or bust for Cal.

You made my point. Going from Tubby to BCG was a huge step down. No guarantee the next coach will be equal or better than Cal.

scrubs in rupp for a month (hey, why are the seats so empty again?) and then get back to SEC play to lose at least 1 to UT, florida and alabama. We may even get swept. Then cal will read off his wrist play book “we’re young, this is hard, we’re fighting, Keion is a servant leader.” If he’s feeling real angry he’ll **** on the fans and call them “basketball bennies.” Now, here we go!!!! March is here “Cal plays for march you idiots! Watch this!” BOOM! Another elite 8 loss to an inferior team.
