I assume you are wanting to eat it.
Then you’d be assuming incorrectly.

For the last 3-4 years Cal always tells the fan base how the team is going to be different, how he rethinking his philosophy. Than the first game happens and you see the same stale, outdated, antiquated type of basketball, and you realize he’s full of sh*t
I think you are the one full of it.

He’s just not the recruiter K is and that explains tonight. Outside Oscar we have no one of the caliber of Banchero, Keels, and Johns and it shows. (And not Wendell Moore either for that matter.)

But I’m still giving him this season and he can still redeem himself during it. Tonight was about Duke’s raw talent. A clicking offensive and defensive system could have overcome that and we’ll know whether we can build one by the end of the season.

Cal still has a ticket from me to try to do that. If he does I think the future looks a little brighter for him regardless. Landing Lively notwithstanding, I just don’t see any way Scheyer can really sustain K-level recruiting very long. Cal and his new staff can fill as much of that void as they earn.
Duke's offence was to let Paolo and Keels go 1v1 all night..

It'll be the happiest day in my UK fandom in a long time when Cal leaves.
Be careful what you wish. Many wanted Tubby gone and we got Billy Clyde. My point is that there is no guarantee that Cal’s replacement would be his equal let alone an improvement. Many times, the best available coach is the one who is already the coach.

He did a great job with our forced shots offense in the 2nd half. Did a great job with switching defensive schemes when Duke was getting to the rim at will. As always continues to do a great job on guarding the inbounds play under opponents basket, only 4 point blank looks in 5 attempts tonight. Honestly think he either doesn’t know how to coach anymore or just doesn’t care to put forth the effort. Rosters change yearly yet same frustrating play is same.

Cal badly needs to implement a structured offense and tailor it to the players he has on hand in a given season. And he needs to make them play within that offense. But before tonight's game, per Cal's own comments on the countdown to tipoff show, he told them to "go out there and have fun and treat this like a New York City street ball pick-up game". And it appears that is exactly what some of these guys, TyTy especially, did. Our offense simply sucks because we don't have an offense. We have guards out there trying to make plays, as Cal puts it. So they are always forcing things and never get into any kind of flow or rhythm. Cal needs to drop this goofy **** he's been doing since he's been here and develop an actual offense, otherwise we're always going to come up short. If he is unable or unwilling to do that, I wish he would just leave.
Couldn’t agree more. But you have a better chance of being the next coach at UK than that happening.

To this point, yes. That is definitely subject to change depending on how this season plays out. I certainly disagree with some of his tactics on both defense and offense, but what do I know.
