Same ole Iowa offense. Did anyone REALLY expect to see anything different. The BF/KF game plan is just plain bad especially when you have a QB who can’t throw the ball. Iowa, where QBs go to die……

The offense goes as the running game goes. Great running game will win a bunch of games. If teams stop the running game, it’s going to be difficult with how McNamara has looked this far.

It’s hard to move the ball when the offensive line can’t block and the quarterback can’t pass and is a sitting duck. You just don’t have the personnel to be effective IMHO. I don’t think it’s the system. I think it’s the players. They look painfully slow.

It IS the system. And it IS the players. That's how you end up getting 66 yards of offense and 4 first downs in 60 minutes. Western Michigan and South Dakota State and UNI come to Iowa City and do one helluva lot better than that against the Hawkeyes vaunted defenses. But, statistically, Iowa isn't the worst offense in the nation. Eastern Michigan holds that distinction--by two yards--over Iowa.
