I think what’s interesting about the Iowa game is that they really have not played a true dual threat QB all year. McSorely is probably the closest to a run threat at QB they have seen but he’s not really a running QB.

AJ this week will obviously be a run threat but, what’s interesting is we will see how they try to defend that and if they believe their game plan for Illinois will have a lot of rollover into Nebraska. And I hope that’s the case honestly cause defending AJ and defending A-Mart are night and day. You make AJ beat you with his arm, if you do that against A-Mart, he will kill you with passes to JD & Morgan.

I just don’t believe Iowa has seen an offense that’s even close to resembling ours. I believe we’ve seen offenses that resembled theirs. A lot of them.

IMO our offense is much more talented then their D, and our offense is something they haven’t seen before. Likewise, I think their strength on offense actually falls into our defensive strength, if we have one. Both our defense and their offense are bottoms feeders, I just trust our D more. I’m not worried about winning that game. This week will be more difficult. MSU is a better team then Iowa

Well, you very well could be correct sir. It's a damn good question about who's worse.....our defense or their offense? My guess is that it's close.

While Iowa's defense certainly is very good I think our offense is even better. Possibly much better. Especially with the HUGE improvement with our OLine.

Special teams? The Hogeye's special teams is grossly inept. But our special teams are even worse. Last week's good results was essentially Illinois dropping easy punts that really had nothing much to do with our special teams imo. Amazingly, their special team was even far worse than ours. Gotta give the Hogeyes the edge for this.

In summary, for "now".....it's a coin flip.

I'm sure I_wa will have one of their best rushing games of the season against our D but will still lose to AM and Co putting up a lights out performance on O.

AM and your receivers may have a very good day against the Hawks if we do not get defense straighten out. Our D really has not played against the skill sets that AM has and we will have to keep him contained or he will run wild on us.
Now for the Hawks, who knows if they will get their act together in two weeks. Heck, IL QB may give us fits, but I think we will handle them.
Our defensive has played too much with our offense struggling. Rushing the ball is not very strong right now and if that is not going, any game is going to be a long one.
Good luck against the Spartys. Please beat them.

Hawkeye special teams have actually been pretty darn good this year for the most part. High KR avg, decent punt avg., High fg. pct., Scored two touchdowns on fake field goals. Wisconsin game was probably the worst outing with two punt return miscues.

QB from Maryland was a legit running threat.

Iowa will be difficult, but we all know that. Nebraska's defense is a Godsend for their offense, they will move the ball and score many points. The question is, can the Husker offense score enough to win? Iowa still has a decent defense, it won't be like the terrible one we saw with Illinois. And special teams, Nebraska is not as good there as is Iowa. Guess we'll find out in a few weeks.
I don't think Iowa's defense can stop our offense. Huskers win

Correct me if I’m wrong but majority of the Snaps in your game against the Terps was Hill who is not a runner. He has negative rushing yards on the season. Pigmore, the runner, hardly played against Iowa. 1 pass attempt against the Hawkeyes. Hardly makes him a dual threat, hardly played, would you not agree?

I’ve seen some posts on your board where many seem to think Iowa won’t beat Illinois. I can’t say what will happen for sure but I don’t think you guys will lose that game. Bush does not have an arm so you wont have your work cut out for you in coverage. He’s a tricky fella with his legs though but I think your defense is good enough to contain him.

I can't imagine Iowa losing to Illinois. Illinois has no passing threat. Completely 1-dimensional team.
