Some fans on the Iowa board are pointing at the ball used at Northwestern and Wisconsin as part of the problem. I think we had fans talking about the same issue for us a couple years ago. Who knows how real that is, or if it's getting into the players' heads?

Did you even watch the games? Did you see the way we chased Sandfort around the screens but the kid couldn’t miss that night ? They present a ton of problems probably why they are top 5 in offensive metrics every year.!!!! If they miss shots that no one was covering them on , they will not win but that doesn’t normally happen and beyond shocking it has happened 2 games in a row. You think it is Pike. Just clueless !!!!

Yes, but different manufacturers produce balls with different feels. Wilson, Adidas, Nike, whoever. If it has an unfamiliar texture, it could have some effect on how it feels when shooting. This is sometimes a topic for World Cup soccer too.

There's a photo in the Iowa thread from our game that shows we played it with a Wilson ball. I think it's the one used in the NCAA tournament, so that would make sense to use it in the regular season to be comfortable with it.

He was 100% correct Iowa flat out missed at least 10 wide open 3 pointers; Keegan missed an easy layup towards the end of the game we probably defended Iowa better than Wisconsin both games we played them
