It's either the clock stops or it's a 5 second call. Their coach is right.

The clock only stops under a minute. The ball went through the net at 1:02 so the clock runs. Five seconds doesn’t start until the official determines poss out of bounds or when reasonable poss should be gained. Iowa tossed it to the ref before going out of bounds.
