Iowa is hitting threes today. If only they could take 10 of the turnovers and convert them into more shot attempts.
you really can afford only 11 to 12 turnovers/game
that's one thing that Fran teams were good at and he stressed NOT turning the ball over

This game was bound to happen. Our most talented players are young and unpolished. Our polished seniors don’t have the talent. UConn is talented and polished.
We just don’t have the athletes. Pretty obvious.
If they don't get this fixed, things aren't gonna go well vs the Michigans, UCLAs and Marylands of the B1G
Sweet 16 might be our ceiling, too. Iowa, as a 4 seed, won't do well vs a 1 seed.
Basically nobody has what UConn has. Iowa isn’t a title contender but they have a great chance to be playing on the second weekend. Not worried.

Yes that’s part of the problem but most of these unforced turnovers have nothing to do with not being athletic. Cut the stupid turn overs and this would have been a game. Passing choices are terrible and setting good screens isn’t much better.
Put the bottom five in. Lazy turnover after another. People on their couch can pick off these passes.
Honestly, Unconn is going to win it all. They are just that good. That being said it would have been a good sign if we could have kept it within 10 points….
Although it was a disappointing performance, this is probably not the game/opponent to measure the teams progress.

I think the line was around 25 points so pretty much watch Vegas expected.
Hopefully it's a learning experience about not turning the ball over. Good news is they won't play a team this talented or well coached for the rest of the regular season.
