*****Iowa vs Rutgers Game Thread*****

[QChawks]

5pm FS1

The Hawkeyes (8-0) head east to face Rutgers (7-2). The scarlet knights only P4 victory was over a terrible Northwestern team. Scoring is a problem for RU.

Rutgers will try and slow down the tempo and make it ugly, but Iowa should be able to take care of business. I like the hawks 79-61.

LFG!!

I'll be there in person rooting them on!!

[o_AMAYS]

Need to take advantage of the schedule starting today. Iowa is the only team in the conference to get 4 road games against the bottom 5 (meaning more NCAA tournament-caliber teams at home).

I see Illinois smoked Indiana 78-57. Perhaps makes that ISU-Indiana game seem a little less impressive for ISU. Doesn't look like Guyton played for Illinois, but she just came off a pretty good game, so think she might be injured.

Chat is back.

[QChawks]

yuge

[citizenHawk1]

Saw a pic of Chat wearing the Clark shoes. Hope they are lucky for her!

Watching men’s game, women’s follows on same channel. Still 7 minutes left. Haven’t seen anything yet , are they adjusting tip-off?
Edit: I see 5:10 now, but men still won’t be done!

I have an inside source saying Chit Chat is back.

Insane dime from Houston

[AFM22]

8 points from Heiden, 1 point from the other 4 starters. 13 points from the bench.

[LetsGoHawks83]

That was an offensive rebounding clinic on that last possession.

[paladinhawk_rivals]

Deal/Stremlow/Wright/Houston/Heiden. Impressive young lineup.

[QChawks]

22-6 after Q1

[Andrewrayhons]

Like how this team is playing on the road, in a B1G game. Looking like they want to be there and play hard.

[AFM22]

Rutgers attacks the rim like they're about to get smoked by tackling dummies

[QChawks]

Stremelow drops a dime

[Hawksfor3]

Nice!

[hawkeyewx]

Iowa is pretty good, and fun. Rutgers stinks.

[QChawks]

our bigs are too athletic for them

[Anon1750875978]

Play the young uns!

[Donny 2.0]

Crooks may have a heart attack trying to keep up to the Iowa bigs running the floor.

Yeah they aren't that good. Close wins against Rhode Island and Siena, a loss to Stony Brook.

[2D]

Hawks look like a well oiled machine right now. Game already feels out of hand for Rutgers.

It is out of hand

Well she's not going to be covering rim runners in the same way that we don't have Heiden or Stuelke cover rim runners.

Crooks is strong with a smooth shot. She'll get her points.

[Moral]

Hopefully Iowa can hold them to 10 this half.

I don't know why we continue to let these shi.tty teams hang around?

[Hawksfor3]

McCabe deadly.

Jan can't even get the team to play with any effort.

[AFM22]

Maybe it's just me but if there's a foul, why does the shooter get to take 2 steps before they shoot and still get the and1?

[AFM22]

Jan can't even get the team to play with any effort.

JAN. IS. NOT. READY. FOR. BIG. TEN. BOTTOM. DWELLERS.

[Moral]

The RAC is such a quiet venue.

[QChawks]

Houston feels like such steal

[AFM22]

Should have been a charge before that jump. Refs have hit the sympathy stage for Rutgers.
