Jax (the emergent star) vs Ayala =a guy who once looked like a multi-time NC will be interesting.

I think it’s a sign of the times.
Guys are good enough to go and you never know what they you’ll get in year 4/5 with injuries and HEW.

Period 1:
Great scramble to start the match off, but nobody scores & they end up on their feet. Tying up on the edge. Jax drops in on a leg. Ayala throws in a whizzer. Out of bounds & neutral restart. Tying up & hand fighting. Ayala with some snaps. Jax with some fakes. Jax shoots & finishes the TD on the edge, 3-0. Out of bounds & restart. Ayala is still down. Jax breaks Ayala down to his belly. Jax rides out the period. ESPN needs a riding time clock. 3-0 Jax + a bunch of riding time.

Period 2:
Jax takes down. He comes up, turns & easily gets the escape, 4-0. Jax snaps & comes behind for another TD, 7-0. Jax cuts Ayala, 7-1. Circling, hand fighting & tying up. Ayala shoots, Jax counters, Ayala tries to come behind. Jax locks up a cradle & takes Ayala to his back. Jax gets the TD, 10-1, plus 4NF, 14-1. Out of bounds & restart. Ayala is still down. Jax rides out the period. 14-1 Jax, +lots of RT

Period 3:
Ayala takes down. He turns & Jax catches him on his back for 2 NF more, 16-2. Jax is hammering from top. Out of bounds & restart. Ayala is still down. Stoppage for blood or something else. Jax seems good to go. Ayala must be bleeding. Yup, he's got a bloody lip. Back to action, 1:22 left. Circling, tying up & hand fighting. Jax shoots, but Ayala blocks him off. Jax tries a drag, then drops to a leg, but Ayala fights him off. Ayala tries a drag, Jax counters with a drag & comes behind for another TD to finish off the 19-3 techfall.
