*****Iowa vs Minnesota Game Thread*****

Disappointing to say the least. Worst Iowa game in quite some time. 4 TO and missing a couple wide open receivers not a recipe for winning. Not the best called game, but I can't put this on the coaches. Players lost this one!
Iowa must find QB in the portal. This is the first time that I am doubting/pissed about Lester.
We need more 2nd and 10 runs.
Despite everything, this game boiled down to two things.
The free run in for the Minnesota guy who blocked the punt by just lackadaisically throwing his arm out as he ran past the punter and Watson's head falling out of his azz to line up waaay offsides to give Minnesota a 5th chance to score their lone TD.
Those things aren't allowed to happen and it changes a 13-10 loss into a 10-0 win..

Ehhh, the coaches are responsible for having the players ready. That's why they make millions of dollars a year.
Ben McCollum is the only thing worth anything in this athletic dept, and dummy boosters give all their money to this clown show.

Worst coaching job by Kirk since Western Michigan on Senior Day. Absolutely pathetic effort today by the offense. Totally unprepared.
How will the players react, now that the playoffs are gone? They have 2 difficult games in a row coming up, and things could spiral out of control. Hopefully things can get back on track next week.

I've said this before, but I am certain that Lester would have liked to hit the portal for a QB this year but resources simply weren't available. There were plays to be made out there today that were simply missed by both QB's.
Yes. Did you see how far Brown missed wide open Vonhamme by? On a play that probably would have won us the game.
Plus other bad plays by Hank.
Heck should have been back in.
Heck can get better, I don't see it with Hank.

BOunce back to what? Bowls mean nothing anymore. Our season is ruined because we had the playoffs in sight. And our coach decided to bench a QB in favor of a Spencer Petra’s clone.
This isn’t on Lester. There is no way he would yank heck. Kirk wanted his Boy Scout out there.

If Moulton is done for the season with that 1st half injury, better plan on 7-5 at best.

Kirk has one of the WORST offensive minds in college football. Both Parkers are the reason he wasn't whacked long ago.
Fleck probably still would have gone for the win like he did, but it is insane to me that Iowa wasn't going to use its timeouts to get the ball back (with at least 1:30 left if not more) after the last punt before Minnesota hit the last pass play. Maybe Fleck would have ran the ball instead make Iowa use them up. Just an insane poorly played and coached game. Iowa gets the ball with all kinds of momentum and promptly runs a 1 yard out to the boundary to our slow tightend (they are all slow, even DJV, and follows it with what seemed like the 10th 2nd and 10 off tackle out of shotgun for no gain. Bau, we play in a meaningless bowl game that no one cares about. Another good defense wasted because Ferentz is one of the worst offensive minds in college fb.

Start working Bessent into games, let one of brown or heck battle Sullivan for number two next year…the end
Heck didn’t throw two picks. He didn’t fumble. Hank did. This is about an old man that want the Boy Scout playing for the team because of image.
Row. Was bad for almost the whole game. Heck was yanked because he doesn’t fit the Boy Scout image. Kirk is a biased man.
I will say; that fake punt attempt and conversion leading to a zero yardage 3 & out is the EPITOME of KF football.
I see more upside with Heck. But Heck has a shorter leash, for some reason.
Well, I think we've clarified that neither one of these guys is going to take the offense where it needs to go. Next year will need someone else to lead it.
