It did, but there's a lot to learn from this game. We'll get to see just how good of a coach we have. I know this team is good. I feel like they can compete with most teams athletically. But there is a mental aspect that I don't think they have yet to grind through those teams. But that's why you play these games because you will never develop it if you don't play the games. Hopefully they can do it quickly. I've seen it happen before so it is possible.

Not giving up at all we see the lack of size going to be a killer and Stirtz has to be much better. Beat Maryland.

Cmon. What exactly is Stirtz going to do by himself? We have some decent players. Mostly mid majors playing their first B1G game on the road against the team that has the biggest home court advantage in the league, and this is Izzo's best team in years. Their a top 5-10 team. Even if Stirtz is all that, they still probably have 10 of the top 12 guys between the two rosters

Michigan, Purdue and Michigan St are this season's elite B1G teams.

Those 3 are the top dogs.

And as much as I hate people saying it all the time - being an "MVC team in the B1G" - Iowa is behind the top teams in terms of overall talent and team needs (IE, NIL).


If Coach McCollum can get 'his guys' to fill out the roster, Iowa will be a contender in the conference and on the national stage. I feel fully confident in that.

Just beat the terps, compete with isu...beat west mich and Bucknell....and go into new year at 11-2.
