That was way too much like an Iowa football game.
Jan was as bad tonight as she was good last night.
There is no way this game should have been as close as it was.

Whew the Miami refs made the game closer than it should have been.
It’s going to be a long B1G season if they play like that to “close out” games.

We didn’t shoot the three ball well. This game should not have been close at all.
HS almost choked the game away single handedly.

Remember, Iowa was without an elite ball handler in Chit chat. We will be fine. Also, Chit chat has been scoring 10 plus point a game.
Sometimes this girls look like a high school team. The game was already won and they nearly fell asleep on the court and let Miami back into the game. They're way too soft.
Iowa held both Baylor and Miami to under 20 in every quarter, so that's certainly a positive.

I agree. Chit chat is the straw that stirs the drink. It's not the same team without her in there, particularly on the offensive end.
Jan really leaned on her starters tonight. And I’m glad she did. We just can’t trust Emily or Addie or.Mallegni with the ball in close games.
Yeah. Ava is dominant enough in a game like tonight that she needs a touch or 2 every trip down the court.
Jan's decision to play only the starters in the 2nd half was horrible coaching. They were tired and totally worthless in the half court offense in the 4th quarter.
Only 6 player got more than 10 minutes. Houston and Rodriguez combined played 5 minutes.

The box score shows 1 turnover. If that’s correct, how is that a turnover machine? She’s the most athletic player besides chit chat on our team.
That's cuz Miami started double team whoever got the ball by the basket. They had to pass back out. No more 1-on-1 down low.
Winning two games against P4 teams even while not playing well is certainly positive. We could have played poorly and come away with two losses. We played poorly and came away with two wins. It's an incentive to keep improving, and there's a lot really a whole lot still to improve.
We basically only have 1 3 pt shooter and that’s McCabe. Stuelke and Heiden dominated for 3 qtrs and then couldn’t do anything in the 4th. If they’re not scoring it’s trouble. McCabe can’t get her own shot and Feurbach just basically can’t score anymore. Stremlow I think got tired as she’s not used to playing almost the entire game. Jan really relied on the starters I think a little to much but we got a win.
Agree 100%. Jan needs to foul late in the games when we have fouls to give. Easy layup for them and almost tied it at the buzzer. Also get your ball handlers and good free shooters in the game(not Stuelke)
After 5 years in college, how can KF be so inept, offensively?
And some mind numbing plays when Iowa has 3 fouls to give and KF allows a drive to the hoop from 25 feet away from the basket?
Do her defensive assets really outweigh her complete shortcomings as a scorer?
