Remember Oregon getting the forfeit win/walk over in the 1st round?

And then Iowa, the #2 seed, losing to the #7 seed Oregon. Gawd, that was awful. We all thought that team would make at least the Sweet 16....nope.

Yeah it was like the hunger games. Oregon got the first round win since the other team got COVID.

I didn’t regret going though, figured it might be the last chance to see Luka play and who knew when or if we would have another NPOY again. They didn’t let fans into most of the games that year due to COVID. Such a shame Iowa fans couldn’t watch a player like Luka in person. Too bad for Luka too.

Looking ahead to Florida -they apparently have a guard named Boogie Fland. That is a great basketball name! Hopefully he has an off night against the Hawks (assuming they beat Prairie View).

Iowa trailed by double digits at halftime each of the 4x they made second round under Fran.
