A bad coaching decision not to try to win the game with 1:30 left and two time outs. A really dumb decision even if they win in overtime.
Wow, how on Earth did Northwestern covert that 3rd and 9 in overtime? Did the vaunted Bullies of the Big Ten just feel sorry for them?

Where is Arbitr8? That little troll is always on here after a Nebraska loss but is nowhere to be found when Io_a loses.
We would throw 3 incomplete passes and only use up about 20 seconds. We would then punt the ball and the other team drives and kicks a game winner as time runs out.
That is also assuming we would actually be in a game late to be in the same position.
Iowa beat themselves in overtime, Fant had the winning td and dropped the pass. Nice to see 2 teams fight for over 4 quarters, you should find that refreshing to say the least.
I think 1/2 of college football team message boards are doing the same thing. Heard his name is starting to be mentioned on several NFL fan message boards as well.
Iowa has lost five or more games in 6 of the last 7 years (and 9 of the last 12). Looks like it’ll soon be 7 of the last 8.

Dear God was that ugly. Was at the game and almost fell asleep. I was on the fire Ferentz bandwagon in 2014 and I'm firmly back on it. He is a 7-5 coach that I don't want anymore. His son was awful at play calling today. Three Iowa drops didn't help but they should have never been in that kind of a game with NW.
NW is not good but they somehow beat Iowa at its own game. Wisconsin is gonna walk to the West title and quite honestly, they should. The rest of the division is horrid.

Truer words were never spoken. What an awful division. Weaker even than the old Big 12 North. And neither Riley, Pelini, or Ferentz can win in even this weak division.
I've always thought of Pat having a little Jughead in him. His team did manage to win this game in OT.
Fighting over 4 quarters? Is that what you would call it? That was two crappy football teams on display. And yes, Nebraska is just as bad as them.
He would probably call a short toss out to a receiver at the line of scrimmage and expect the other receiver to make a block so if it is caught, it will be two yard gain. Whats the worst thing that could happen?
Doing my taxes is more exciting than the game today.
Nebraska is definitely not playing to potential whether it be coaching or players or whatever.
Iowa is just having a typical Iowa season.
