What about Ed Podolak? He did color in the booth for 42 years?
Iowa to name broadcast booth after Dolph

Man, I feel like there are other more worthy announcers in Iowa history
Zabel is a legend but he never worked in that broadcast booth.
They should misspell his name on it
Time for the Ed Podolack beer garden in the north end zone!
Lame excuse. New buildings are built all the time and named in honor of people who have never been there.
Did Gary make a donation to get his name on it?
Or at the very least include an incorrect phonetic spelling underneath his name.
Will there be typos on the signage in the booth to commemorate Dolph's many slips of the tongue and mis-reads of what the hell is going on down on the field?
He is as bad a Zabel was for giving the hawks a 5 yard run when it was 3 yards. I even emailed Learfield to ask them to ask Dolph to just slow down a bit and wait until the spot the ball.
I have been listening to Dolph for some years now synched up to the TV video and it can be a challenge listening to his mis-reads , I wont say mistakes. I mainly listen to hear Eddie and now Angerer.
Good for Dolph. Well deserved......
I guess they'd better take Paul Brechler's name off the press box, then. He was AD from 1947-1960, quite a long time before that structure was built.
