I have no dog in this fight but ISU did beat Ferentz best team in 2002..

So they have that going for them entering the game.

Doesn't UNI beat Iowa on occasion? No surprise they are competitive with Iowa State.
Haven't beat Iowa, but lost to them on a missed field goal a couple years back as time ran out. UNI plays Hawks and Clones tough every time. It was a no brainer to take the points last Saturday.

First game of the season against an in-state rival. Not surprising that the game was close. Campbell is a great coach though, and I think Iowa State will have a good year.

What is the feeling in clone nation about this game?
Confidence, better personnel at every position, too much speed, etc. Basically the same claim many of them make every year…same old, same old.

I think a bit of anxiousness as well. With so many super seniors, there’s a bit of if not this year, when.

And before anyone goes there…yes I grew up on big red fb, live in Lincoln, attended the UI, lived in Ames and have a family friend whose kiddo starts for ISU. I like all three. Spoke to the family friend Sunday(confident, anxious, and nervous).

No trolling, just see it for what it is.

what I personally see is a close one. Iowa a bit better on D, but ISU is pretty good, Iowa State a bit better on O, but Iowa has plenty to get the job done. ST, tbd. Historically Iowa is better in this area.

I know it is hard to understand as Nebraska is the lone state school but this is what you get with in-state rivalries. The +31.5 line that UNI was getting was basically free money for anyone that has paid attention to things over the years. Most of the UNI guys got snubbed by the ISUs and Iowa's so of course they had some extra juice for that game.

I have zero doubt that ISU will look 100x better Saturday because most of them were snubbed by Iowa. It is just how it goes.

I hope Iowa wins by 50. Iowa St is starting to become annoying all due to a preseason ranking. I like Campbell, but please win something.

Of course ISU doesn’t equal Iowa. We would never set goals that low.
ISU>Iowa
Quick google search says otherwise. Series 45-22 Iowa. Iowa with a 5 game win streak. Campbell never beaten Ferentz. You sir are incorrect

Iowa State I am sure played a very vanilla game against UNI and most likely was looking a head. Iowa did not have the opportunity to look a head. I give ISU the edge being played in Ames, of course, Iowa has never had problems winning in Ames. Iowa offensively always starts the season slow, and with a mediocre outing against Indiana proved that. However, Iowa should be better offensively as every game goes by. Defensively, ISU has a pretty good defense, but I don't know if it is better then Indiana's defense as I have heard a ton of prediction shows glow about Indiana's defense going into the Iowa game. I think ISU could suffer the same fate as Indiana, and that is believing all the damn hype that has been placed on them.

The number 7 team in the nation shouldn't be in a dog fight with an FCS team regardless if they are playing vanilla or if the entire UNI roster is feeling snubbed.

I got in late and could only get 4 1/2, so I played the money line at +175 instead.

Another weird line was the East Carolina and South Carolina game, the Gamecocks are +2. I know South Carolina isn't great, but East Carolina looked somewhat pedestrian in their loss to App St. IDK

#9 vs. #10
Iowa at Iowa State
68th meeting
Iowa owns a 5 game winning streak
I like Iowa's chances again in Ames.
Iowa State typically has ended streaks in Iowa City
Two biggest wins in 1998 and 2002 were for ISU in Kinnick
Should be a B1G Cy-Hawk Game at Jack Trice

Not in modern era, but 2009 was pretty amazing finish.

Feel good about it. Iowa has the worst QB in the B10. Our defense will eat him alive. I see a 10 pt win by the Clones.
You better hope your QB has a better game than last saturday or Iowas defense will make him look like a Husker QB. However I do hope ISU wins by 70

Tell you what, let's place a wager. If Iowa St wins by 8 or more, keep coming on here and post as much as you want. Anything less than an 8 point win, you go elsewhere and annoy the FU%* out of some other fan base.

I guess ISU was still keeping their offense. basic, so that the team they play after Iowa still won't know their super amazing plays.
