That is free money. It will be one of those boring *** games that seems close and then all of a sudden Iowa will win 27-17.

I understand, but he got beat last year in his first game and hasn’t beat Iowa yet - but by the end of his last few seasons, he is usually beating ranked teams. No matter how ugly his win was today, he likely stays ranked 80 spots ahead of the Huskers.
Remember, we don't care about "just some wins", we had that, with Bo and dorky fans turned on him.

Uni has beaten Iowa state in the past. They have had great players in the past and fact they had better players in the nfl. Kurt Warner , Price Pop ward sapp. So I was not surprised that the game was a tough hard fought one.

They always look terrible in the first game. The excuse has always been that they put all of their prep in the summer toward the Iowa game week 2. Tough to use that last year.
I'm sure they'll look like a different team next week.
Train with several former players (under McCarney). They spent fall camp scheming for Iowa. The wouldn’t spend much time on the opening cupcake and sometimes it but them on the butt. UNI put their marbles in the beat ISU basket.

With the state our program, it would be considered a great season as well. 8 wins? I’d take it.
Nope, but one time it got real dicey for an Iowa team that finished in the top10. One other time David Johnson(nfl back) had a huge day, but they outcome wasn’t really threatened.
ISU on the other hand… UNI has beaten them several times

The lame part about this game is that ISU is soooooooo overrated/over ranked, now Iowa will go on the road (probably with 50% of the fans being Iowa fans) and win a 27-24 game over a "top 10" team and all of a sudden Iowa will be ranked in the top 10 maybe top 5 as being the only team with a road win over a top 10 team so far.
