Oh I’m sure he will be. But again Iowa doesn’t have a starting QBI’d be shocked if HB isn’t #1 on the depth chart next week.

What we all got to learn about Iowa and Kirk is : he does not care what fans think. Yes, you may think hank is not as good as heck. Maybe so. I dunno. Stanzi, McCann, banks, so on. Petras. Stanley. Been going on a while, He don’t care. He picks one and stays with him. Thus he is the starter now. Crown him!! He is hank the king!!As I’ve said all along, the Hawks don’t have a QB cause they didn’t go get one.
Now looks like Hank is KF chosen one cause he’s the least likely to throw an interception. It’s absurd.
Is your point a starting caliber qb?Oh I’m sure he will be. But again Iowa doesn’t have a starting QB
I was just going to post something like this...It seems like it doesn’t matter how good Iowa is or how bad Iowa state is , the score is always 16-13
It’s 100% obvious when the choice is made and it sticks like glue and is always and forever. See Kyle McCann.I’d be shocked if HB isn’t #1 on the depth chart next week.
Ya unless he starts throwing piss missiles 6 yards in front of the receivers feet like Jake Christensen, it will likely be Brown all year. It’s 100% obvious when the choice is made and it sticks like glue and is always and forever. See Kyle McCann.
I was looking for reasons to be enthused. This game set up for a bit of a stomping by us. I'm not one to celebrate underperformance but you do you.I suppose it’s not good if you’re looking for reasons to be disappointed.
Well that is Iowa in a nutshell for 3 decades. Ha haIs your point a starting caliber qb?
Yes. They have QBs not worthy of a P4 team with playoff aspirations. Not close. It’s frustrating but it is what it is.Is your point a starting caliber qb?
It's Kirk's litmus test.I was just going to post something like this...
You can basically just throw this game away after it's played. It doesn't seem to determine how Iowa does the rest of the year
Although...I believe there is a stat where a win against the clowns results in at least 8 or 9 wins a majority of the time
I’ll always celebrate a win vs ISU.I was looking for reasons to be enthused. This game set up for a bit of a stomping by us. I'm not one to celebrate underperformance but you do you.
Yes it was. Reminiscent of Tory Taylor at Nebraska for game winner in 23’.Terrible snap. The holder and the kick, play of the day, play of the day, what's that? Play of the day.
I would fully expect a trash game in the future by hank, let us say OSU and or MICH, a beat down… and I would not be shocked at all when Kirk stays with him no matter what.Ya unless he starts throwing piss missiles 6 yards in front of the receivers feet like Jake Christensen, it will likely be Brown all year.
Terrible analogy. Brad even said, he wasn't ready to be the starter in 2001.It’s 100% obvious when the choice is made and it sticks like glue and is always and forever. See Kyle McCann.
Playoffs? Who is talking playoffs? Playoffs?Yes. They have QBs not worthy of a P4 team with playoff aspirations. Not close. It’s frustrating but it is what it is.
Just another reason to get rid of this series.I was just going to post something like this...
You can basically just throw this game away after it's played. It doesn't seem to determine how Iowa does the rest of the year

I know but the fans wanted McCann benched and banks to be put in!! Recall that? KF did not care what fans thought.Terrible analogy. Brad even said, he wasn't ready to be the starter in 2001.
Well KFs goal isn’t playoffs so why should ours be?Playoffs? Who is talking playoffs? Playoffs?
Then 2002 happened.I know but the fans wanted McCann benched and banks to be put in!! Recall that? KF did not care what fans thought.
Exactly my point. I started figuring that out in the 2000’s. That the goal was to win like 8 games, maybe 9. The occasional big ten champ game. Occasional good bowl. But bowLs always. But never national champs. Never a losing season. It’s kind of like Iowa level mediocrity. The fact that they finally beat isu has got me wondering: What this year may hold?Well KFs goal isn’t playoffs so why should ours be?
Yeah and the fans were like: I wonder what 2001 could have been?? In all honesty though 2001 ended in an alamobowl win over Texas Tech, I was at that game. I also went to the orange bowl beat down by usc. I kind of like winning bowl games. Better than losing. Then 2002 happened.
Why the hell would we wanna have a starting QB when we could have a starting game manager?!?Oh I’m sure he will be. But again Iowa doesn’t have a starting QB
That happened last night in the Mizzou/Kansas game. Mizzou player tried it and was quickly jumped by 10 Kansas players. Doubt the Mizzou player ever tries it again. The thing that kinda pisses me off was the play of the ISU punt coverage team.
Fun fact...that kid is the son of my son in laws good friend from college.
Matson from Humboldt.
Hopefully, someone takes out his knee next year in Ames.
That should be the standard, every year, especially with this coaching staff and fan support. So, I moved to austin in 1990. Their goal here is for UT to win the national champ game every single year. That is the deal. Now, this yr they got a better shot at it since they beat OSU tonight. But usually they really have no shot. Especially since they joined the SEC. But they persist. That is the goal. Yes they have a few natty games, like I think maybe 1970, maybe like 2006 0r 2007. A few tries when they lost to Alabama, recently. Lost to Washington huskies in the playoffs a few yrs ago.But I always wondered what it would be like to have that goal every year for Iowa? It is a strange thought.
Tonight’s win is going to do a lot of heavy lifting if they end up 10-2.So, I moved to austin in 1990. Their goal here is for UT to win the national champ game every single year. That is the deal. I always referred to him as Skippy. No one threw a 5 yard pass, 2 yards in front, skipping it into their legs better than Skippy.Ya unless he starts throwing piss missiles 6 yards in front of the receivers feet like Jake Christensen, it will likely be Brown all year.
Remember 2009, UNI game?I was looking for reasons to be enthused. This game set up for a bit of a stomping by us. I'm not one to celebrate underperformance but you do you.
Yup, safe to say JH is done for the season with the exception of next week's garbage time....I would fully expect a trash game in the future by hank, let us say OSU and or MICH, a beat down… and I would not be shocked at all when Kirk stays with him no matter what.
From 17 years ago? Yep. I was in my 30s. I'm now 54. Lol.Remember 2009, UNI game?
Ducklips would be all the difference! Make the chewing a lot sexier.Do you guys think Kirk should get some lip fillers?

I don’t know man, the idea of Hank going into the big house against Michigans defense scares the shlt out of me and I’m afraid Hank will look like barney fife back there.Hank wasn't so bad that he needed to be replaced. The drive in the 2nd quarter for the tuddy was yuge. And then Iowa won after being down double digits. That's rare air in the KF era.
Let's pump the brakes and let the season play out. There's a reason a SEC team recruited him.
You can almost bet money on it. Because Iowa hawks stuff. And history. Or it is 2002 all over again like brad banks style. {Probably not }I don’t know man, the idea of Hank going into the big house against Michigans defense scares the shlt out of me and I’m afraid Hank will look like barney fife back there.
1 question, just one question:Iowa by 24 points 37-13
Hecklinski 2 TDs
