The officiating has been absolute trash.
Kirk has only been coaching Iowa for 28 years. One day our fan base may understand his coaching philosophies.
Kicking on 4th and 10 is fine. Running the QB draw on 3rd and 10 in the 1st half is WEAK
I've always been troubled by the fans who say "running up the score is not the Iowa way".
Well, whoever the next guy is, I hope he rejects that silly idea.

No, any coach there would run a play to get you a closer kick, the draw was a bad play but you don’t throw a bomb there. Most coaches would design a run play.

But Kirk playing not to lose in every big game is why Iowa doesn’t deserve national respect beyond their success at developing players.

I hope everyone sees why yelling Run The Ball over and over again is a death sentence when the opponent is able to key on the run and out physical us on the LOS. We have to open up the run with the pass. A balanced attack is key.

Really enjoyed the 4th down QB sneak when the line judge came running in at the 1st down mark... Announcers saying "looks like they'll have the 1st down". Then the official curves to the side to mark it a foot short...

Well at least we tied it up, nice TD drive, Brown is throwing above avg but he was far off on 3 deep balls where are receiver had them beat.
Brown good but needs to be better . Our OLIne play is a bit concerning but as I read and heard their front 7 is experienced and good.

That Ohio State game in 2009 was when I realized Kirk was playing to lose. It was really awful. But this is 2026. The game is tied.
