The professionalization of college football makes achieving playoffs the main thing.
Hard to avoid the ' empty season" mentality when you sustain 2 or 3 early losses.

Regular season dilution is a natural byproduct of playoffs.
I hate it.
I wish we played OSU in Oct and UWash in November.
If we sustained a key injury in Sept,we screwed.

I don't care what anyone says or how irrational this is; Iowa State is our most important game. We must beat them, completely.

Why? Iowa hasn’t won 7 games in a season in over a decade.
If you’re gonna make silly corrections at least acknowledge it. You are referring to the final record after 13 games his post used 12. After 12 they’ve had what two 7-5 years?

3 cupcakes to hopefully get the new QB ready for a make or break 3 game stretch against 3 of the likely top 5 B1G teams. Wheels could come off early in the season with an inexperienced QB.

Am I the only one that thinks Michigan is a paper tiger? I don’t think they finish top 5 in the B1G.
I think Michigan is going to roll next year.
Underwood will mature into top qb.
They cleaned up with Utah transfers plus strong portal.
Return whole o- line.
I see them in top 3 in league.

Just like the regular season has been diluted in college basketball. I hate that too,

The home schedule blows besides Ohio St.

Iowa gets better as the season goes narrative will be easy to back up this year.

I don't know.....OSU, ISU, Wisc, and Neb make for a pretty decent conference home slate. Yeah, Purdue blows, but the rest are pretty intriguing.

Wisky Purdue and Nebraska were a combined 6-21 last year in the big ten. That’s bad. That’s what’s coming to Iowa City.

Absolute cake of a schedule. If they don’t make the playoffs with this schedule, it’s never gonna happen.
Maybe. But have you seen Penn State's schedule? Campbell's mom couldn't have come up with an easier path.

Or a QB who actually knows the offense and who can throw the ball down the field to some talented receivers will be a great advantage for Iowa.

Ya that's some weak sauce. Knowing Campbell, he'll start 5-0, half his D will get injured and they'll finish 7-5.

I said last decade. Thats 2016 to now. That doesn’t even include 2015. So, 2 in that time frame. Not really worthy of consideration for 2026, IMO.

They actually did a solod job retaining players as well as portal additions. Their run game could be tops in the B1G. They have holes at LB and maybe TE and thats about it.

If Moore was still there I’d agree. Unfortunately they failed upwards and got Wittingham as their coach. They’ll be good.
We'll see. The new coach had already announced he was retiring and then M threw a bunch of money at him. We'll see just how dedicated he is to the grind, and frankly I doubt hell be at Michigan for long.

I thought I'd read he had told Utah he was done at the end of the season. Okay, I guess he told the school he was "stepping down with no plans for the future" and then he shows up at Michigan within days.
