I just hope we call a good game. Keep the D honest. And I hope we contain the run because it’s coming

Huskers contain the run - get the W while I freeze my *** off.

Huskers 24
Iowa 13
Iowa has been very good at home this year (5-1).
They've beaten W. Illinois, Troy, Washington, Northwestern and Wisconsin. They lost to ISU.

NU is 1-3 on the road with a win v. Purdue, and losses to IND, OSU, and USC.

Should NU beat the Hawkeyes tomorrow, I think it bodes very well for NU going forward.
The biggest negative is in the last 5 games NU has given up 56/21/27/28/25 points.

Have to be quick to the line/snap and run lots of misdirection, screens and TEs in the Middle gaps.
Diagonal throws to TE's do well tomorrow.
Can beat them deep with a flea-licker from EJ to DR to Lloyd/Neyor.

It's all about taking care of the ball, stopping Iowa's running game and good ST play by NU.

I'm confident Dana can dial up enough points to win on the road.

I think if the Huskers can contain Iowa’ s big running back (Johnson?) something my little brother’s Huskies did not do then the Huskers win 27-17 .

NU wins

I'd love to see a victory over those fat and trashy butt f***ers and have some real positivity & momentum going into a decent bowl.

This is the key. He is their entire offense. Shut him down and we win easily. But I doubt we shut him down. Instead we will probably just slow him down. In which case the game is a toss up. And if we don’t shut him down and he gets big chunk plays against us then Iowa wins easily.

Last week I predicted 27-13 Wiscy.

This week:
24-12 Iowa

I also have a date with this girl named Uma. Hope she's good looking. 🤞

Iowa lacks the usual motivation it has for this game - they can’t ruin Nebraska’s season by winning. I’m unusually optimistic today - even took NU on the money line.

NU 20
Iowa 16

Side note on the money line. I got it last night on ESPN at +135. It’s at +130 on ESPN now, and +120 at Draft Kings. I didn’t bet enough to move the line :)

I am so damn nervous for this game. With last week's win I really, really want to keep our momentum going. Losing to Iowa again would suck. My head says we win a close one. But my heart is expecting us to get our nuts crushed. I am fully expecting our defense to go all limp wrist against their running attack. Please win today guys!!

3 main advantages that feed into every game: QB, head coach, and ability to stop the run.

QB: Nebraska
HC: Iowa
ability to stop the run: tie

The hope is that Rhule + Dana > Ferentz + Parker to nullify our coaching disadvantage.

17-13 Huskers.

DH shows how dysfunctional Sat was and what a real OC can do when given a chance. The defense comes to play as well and treats their walk on QB like a rag doll despite being held on every play with no flags.

it’s like the colorado game but for a full 60 minutes where DH doesn’t go soft and conservative. I want to see nothing but shots of depressed and crying Iowa fans in the fourth quarter. Nebraska wins 49-0.

Talked about it before the Defense has some real concerns - can they hold up the whole game? So the offense needs to stay on field extend drives and ST just be even.

100%. The defense looks leaky and it’s a major concern no matter who we play.

We have a remarkable penchant for making bad/mediocre mobile guys look incredible

Part of why I don’t get the desire to play Oklahoma in a bowl game, I think Jackson Arnold would have a career day
