Close so far.

In other games with a potential impact on RU, Iowa State is winning over Oklahoma by 10, K-State and Okla. State are tied. Both Oklahoma and K-State are seen as bubble teams, despite their rather mediocre records. Florida is hanging tough with Auburn in Gainesville, which is not good. WF defeated ND, which is probably a good thing since they have a stronger resume than ND and are more likely to get in.

Iowa looking more comfortable now on OSU’s floor. After falling behind by 10 theyre now playing like it’s a home game.

Iowa has scored 39 points against OSU in the first half- almost as much as in the entire game against RU.

Part of me wants Iowa to win to help us with them getting a Q1 win but I really love when Fran loses…

Iowa now up 7. An Iowa win is definitely good for RU, and I say that as someone who holds a master's degree from OSU!

But very bad news from Gainesville - Florida upset Auburn, boosting their NCAA chances.

BillyC80 has that right.

Another good result so far is Baylor over TCU. TCU is another among several B12 bubble teams but has few impressive victories so far.

Also, Iowa State clobbered Oklahoma by 21 so hopefully that will end any bubble talk for the Sooners. Oklahoma State and K-State are in OT. OSU leads by 3 with 12 seconds remaining.

The truth is we won't know who we really wanted to win this game until the season is over.

If we finish strong, the bubble isn't even a concern and we would have wanted Iowa to win to help with double bye.

If we struggle the rest of the way, we would have wanted OSU to win to hurt Iowa.

This.

But I’m going to think positive and root for whatever helps us get into the top 4 or to win the conference.

Go Hawkeyes!

What don’t y’all get about ā€œRutgers is a bubble team, so we must root against other bubble teams.ā€
We are not fighting Iowa for a spot in the tourney. Try looking at schools from other schools. That is Rutgers' main competition.

Actually we are fighting Iowa..who has dropped down considerably showing up as 10 and 11 in brackets
I don't get it. One minute Iowa is a lock for the dance, then the next we're fighting them for a spot? Which is it? I have never known teams from the same league fight for a bid. League play usually takes care of this.

Rutgers is likely not a bubble team right now. Most brackets ( 70%) have us in as an 11 seed and some of those have us higher. BAC has us as a 9. Today. That is the key thought. Of course , we have more games to play . If you have watched our team for the last 9 halves , you cannot believe we are going to lose the rest of our games. If we did , we probably would be left out but it would be close.

If we go 0-5 and 0-1 in the B1G tournament, there is no doubt we would be left out. 1 win and we’d be out also. Not going to happen, however.

Who said they were locks. I had them as 10 coming into today and likely now move to 9 one spot ahead of RU

All bubble schools fight for bids including those from same conference

This team needs at least 2 if not 3 to lock

Of course we need more but as of today we are in at 11 or 10 or on your opinion a 9. Right now the way we have played I am seriously thinking we should be fighting for the regular season title or a share of it come March 1 . I hope no idiot poster on this board then thinks we are on the bubble.
