This seems kinda far-fetched.

Amato committed to Iowa on 10/8/2025. Are we really supposed to believe that
(1) Brands hadn't called Amato even once in 10 months;
(2) Amato waited patiently by the phone that long without getting a clue;
(3) Amato is the first non-resident Hawk commit to stay at home during an offseason?

Remember also Iowa alleging the Bassetts flipped because Brands wouldn't pay travel expenses.

Then imagine Cael telling RBY: we're yanking your offer because you won't travel across the country to train with us in State College at your own expense.

Who knows what really happened. But nobody can dispute the fact that there has been a lot of turnover with Iowa in the last few years. We haven’t seen it as much with other programs.

Chittum was the big one a few years back. Obviously he was a #1 overall and his career hasn’t panned out, but it was huge at the time that the brands picked the Ferraris over the chittums.
