Iowa / Isu

[dicemen99]

If Mo wins, Iowa wins. Iowa has the only tech fall which is the first highest criteria that either team has earned.

Incorrect

[dtripp26]

On the radio they said it goes pins then tech falls. Not sure if that is correct

No. But that's Ironside

[hawk fan in MN]

I’ve had multiple accounts banned for trolling. It’s a blast. Iowa wrestling has the softest fan base of any sport

If you are a gopher fan when is the last time the gophers have been relevant in wrestling or anything? Been an awfully long time.

[Jamie_Taco]

Iowa can’t move on from Tom and Terry fast enough. Until that happens, we can get used to this ********.

[EdgarAllenPodolak]

Crapped the bed in our last two ESPN televised duals. Hopefully this is the nail in the Brands’ coffin.

[dtripp26]

Welp, this sucks!

[hawx]

Retire Tom

[HawkeyeGenius]

Hopefully it's another 20 before ISU wins a dual.

[SEWAHawk]

Retire Tom

Move Tom and Terry to the HWC. Hire a new HC.

It won't be

[Scrubby]

Welp..

[BagChasingMidSmokingFraud]

Embarrassing

[MVPFAN]

Hopefully it's another 20 before ISU wins a dual.

They will be favored by more next year.

[IA79Cam]

Wrestled not to lose

Nah, we need to get them as far away from Iowa wrestling as possible. Look at Spencer in 2025 - you really want them around the RTC? This is a "start on third base job" and they can get lost.

Wouldn't bet on it. Tom's gonna have to spend a lot of someone else's money to have a strong team next year!

[GableBeer]

We look terrible maybe we shouldn't wrestle national duals.

[grasshawk40]

Really lack luster start of the year. Team not ready at all. Is this on brands??

[Stick Kitty]

Lost the transfer battles 3-1. Not sure what Brands was thinking spending any money on Nassir and Jordan. Just brutal

He looks like Dennis and M* have gotten into his ear more than TnT.

97 result?

[MVPFAN]

Dresser is incorrect about beating a great team. This is an average to barely above average team.

[EvilMonkeyInTheCloset]

That should about do it for the Brands.

[Nashville_Hawk]

Keuter manages to avoid the major at the closing second

Three by my count.

As long as he wins I’m not questioning a thing.

[Anon1750896976]

No. But that's Ironside

Iowa vs isu transfers if elam wins 0-3

We look terrible maybe we shouldn't wrestle national duals.

flu mono?

Yes. Good lord have you watched Iowa wrestle outside of 2019-2021 the last 15 years ? I’m so tired of this. They have destroyed Iowa. Period

[HawkeyeInOlathe]

If you are a gopher fan when is the last time the gophers have been relevant in wrestling or anything? Been an awfully long time.

They lost to SDSU this week. I suppose SDSU can call it relevant? Lol

Iowa still has Penn State, Nebraska, Ohio State, and Oklahoma State.

No excuse but our schedule will sharpen this team come March.

[Cria1987]

Dual was fun to watch in person. Wish everyone wrestled with attacks and forward pressure like Block and Cali.

[azchief32]

Except for a few guys, we didn’t come to wrestle/wrestle smart. They did. Hats off to the fighting Dressers.

Who do you replace them with? Do you risk losing that 27 class? I’m not sure it’s that simple.

He is thinking he didn't recruit anyone when he needed to and was desperate to find people.

[StrikeHawk3]

Drake and Kennedy have to win those matches. Didn’t think we would win 141 or 157 going in. 133 and 174 are the most frustrating results here.

[Anon1751665420]

I concur about a change being necessary. At this point, I’d even take a different assistant for new life. I obviously don’t like our guys losing but we also lack fight. When we wrestle lesser opponents we shine, but better or even opponents, we struggle.

Outside of 165, Block is the only other wrestler that has some fire.

[HawkeyeInOlathe]

Yeah, Kennedy was gassed...............after the 1st period.

It's November. Why are we (our #2 ranked wrestler in particular) getting gassed in the 1st period a month into the season?

I think Kennedy was trying to be Superman too much today. Loved huis fire but he will always be a lunch box physical wrestler. Horrible hip defense. He gave up his hips three or four times today by being overly aggressive. He’s a top 5 in March.

[StuckAsAnon]

Yeah…it seemed to kill ISU

Just got to start another 20 year run next year

[IowaHawkeyes1989]

Guys are mad at tnt but when you listen to them talk they aren’t out there loving what the guys are doing on the mat. Idk if it’s tnt that needs to go but why is the message not getting to the wrestlers.

[Wrestleknownothing]

Mikey freaking caliendo.

also. Guys. Just a joke. If you know what that phrase means culturally- it’s not a big deal. No different than saying send them back to LR.

Oh, it is a big deal. And awful.

174 is now an open competition. The old truck ran out of gas and can’t drive on gravel anymore.
