Don't see how KY isn't the choice IF this is accurate.
Good point. This fellow, a Tenn. beat writer, said this about Ark.Then why visit Arkansas and UT?
That’s always good to hear but in reality it is about individual success for players because their how is to be in the NBA and the best way to get there is great individual success over team success. Now it’s a play if you can get both but individual success is first and foremost. Of course you don’t say that when interviewed though
Have y’all noticed that “mrs. Tyler Thompson” from KSR reads this board and posts exactly what she finds here? Never anything of substance, just a few words changed from what is said on this site.
You posted this in a thread discussing what someone else said on Twitter? That is some high level irony.Have y’all noticed that “mrs. Same person says “he’s been at Va Tech so it’s not like he’s off people’s radar. The exposure angle won’t work.”
I would argue that the exposure at UK is head and shoulders above that at Va Tech.

Just wonder how many games VT played on national television in prime time last year?
Probably a game against Duke, a game against UNC, and maybe a game against UVA?
UK is probably on national TV at least three or four times as much as VT.
That could be true but its also said that the top player that needs the shots and the minutes to get his results may not be as good as the player who's production is higher by minutes played.
The guy was All-ACC and the best player on a top 15 team. He doesn't need more exposure.
The NBA knows who he is. They draft guys every year the average fan has never heard of. Kerry Blackshear didn't fall through the cracks.
Interesting thread. If Blackshear wants to get his name out there and compete for a championship then Kentucky gives him the platform to do so. Then you also have to look at life after basketball. The state of Kentucky may be the only state to take care of their players after they have left the program. You're definitely remembered when you put on a UK uniform.
Or any of the other schools on his list by a wide marginSame person says “he’s been at Va Tech so it’s not like he’s off people’s radar. The exposure angle won’t work.”

It's true, he has exposure to the NBA scouts already. Also, he won't fall through the cracks by playing at Tennessee, Florida, or Arkansas. But, will he get to practice with elite, elite players every day at those schools? Will he compete against the best of the best almost every game at those schools? Will he learn from a coach that has been there and done that at those schools? Will he get a chance to show the scouts that he has stepped up his game at those schools? The answer is no, no, Hell no, and highly doubtful. The guy was All-ACC and the best player on a top 15 team. He doesn't need more exposure.

Being honest Florida and Arkansas if you add Blackshear have enough to be really good.
Don't see how KY isn't the choice IF this is accurate.
I agree that Florida could be top 10 good by adding Blackshear. I believe it’s us or UF.Being honest Florida and Arkansas if you add Blackshear have enough to be really good.

you should add another quote to your sig!!He couldn't fit in those cracks. Let's hope we can see what Cal and his exposure can do. It IS worth the risk....
